It's all been said really. Did a lot of good for our club and I particularly admired his tough stance with agents. He, unfortunately, lacked the financial support and/or the business acumen to take us further. Speaks a lot of sense about football generally and I like to think he still has a soft spot for Palace. Didn't he use to live in a suite at the Grosvenor House Hotel? Always thought that was cool. He did - and when I worked at Marriott (who bought the GHH), it was widely known he was badly in arrears. I've no doubt he paid up before he left, but was give a lot more flexibility on payment terms than you or I would have gotten.

A Wheeler Dealer, a ducker and a diver. Made his money much like Goldberg in an emerging market where there was little or no regulation and scrutiny. The days when you could fly by the seat of your pants and for a while get away with it. Tried to run the club by the same methods. Pay bills at the last minute and use 'innovative' finance that in the end bit him on the bum. Loved the club but lied to the supporters. (Biggest fib being the day we all celebrated just how clever he was (n't) when he claimed to have bought the ground. He made the decisions and despite his blaming many other factors took the club to the brink of extiction. Not only that but took down many small local suppliers as their bills went unpiad and even failed to pay charities like St John's Ambulance. Now presents himself as the voice of football despite it clearly being a business he was no too good at. But the roller coater was fun while it lasted eh?

Very opinionated, often right. He bought us up without fully realising what it takes to be a successful chairman Of a football club. He had no previous footballing Experience, and arrogantly thought he could do it all himself. Gave himself a massive learning curve, failed to get help from the right places and got a few things wrong because of it. But despite this still came close to succeeding. Loved his stance on agents, although ultimately he was outnumbered and ended up banging his head against a wall. I've a feeling that we're he to venture into being a chairman again now, he'd do things differently, and probably be a lot more successful.

He was a breath of fresh air to begin with and in a time when millions still made a difference he was willing to spend and completely rebuild our team. He couldn't get his head around the way greed conquers all in the football industry where the likes of agents pretty much ran the game.

Ruddock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peter Taylor having previously saying that he did not rate him...then after the sacking being nasty on tv. Red Jacket and blond hair to laugh at. But, thanks for rescue. No thanks for lies about owning the ground.

Having read his book I do sympathize with him in his claim that Parish tricked him out of the club. Its possible but then again Parish was clever enough to share the financial burden with others and was fortunate enough to be able to learn from Jordan's mistakes. Parish & Co also purchased the ground and made sure that they took charges over it to secure the monies that they injected which made sure that their funds weren't at risk

I like him on Talksport but cant listen to it coz of the adverts. Respect him for saving the clube but he was naive and it showed. I completely understand his anger v CPFC10. They knew what they were doing, financially, and that is why he is bitter. He lost millions and they made millions.
