That's baloney.
When did Roy ever put blame on any player ?
If it was Roy who chose Bats, and you've no way of knowing that, it would have made sense, because we had much more need for a striker than another midfielder.
And if you bothered to look ,you would see that Roy has had a hugely successful career.

You're lack of vocabulary is showing you up.

But keep trying to defend Iceland Woy!

I'll use picture to help you understand how successful he was... lol

Roy was perfect for what we needed when we needed it. He did an exceptional job on a tight budget. Without question he was defensive but the criticism of his approach was excessive. We played nice, attacking football when we had Loftus-Cheek. We never had center backs who could play out under his tenure. Or defenders generally

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

RH did a good job in the main. But…..:

We mirrored England with RH in charge. A shambles when he took over and he fixed it. Followed by a period of stable that gradually declined until the Iceland game.

Good at fixing problems, not the person to take you forward.

If we had the same players as we do now and RH in charge then we’d have Kyuoate and Tomkins instead of Anderson or Gueri in defence and a midfield of MacArthur, Milo and I very much doubt Gallagher would get a look in.

I also think we wouldn’t have seen the team smell blood like they did at the weekend.

Quite incredible nonsense.

You've picked one result out of a career of nearly 60 years !
In all that time he's never been out of work, he's always in demand, including managing four different national teams, there's not a manager in the world can equal that.
Anyone who knows anything at all about football, will know Roy did a magnificent job at Palace, you are just displaying your ignorance.

Blaming the players is always a sign of a bad manager.

Cabaye, Zaha, Townsend, RLC, AWB, none of them good enough. Not to mention the poor guys time at England, we just don't have the same resources as Iceland.

As you ignored previously, when offered resources, he chose Bats over Gallagher.

If you miss him, don't worry, some badly run club will be stupid enough to employ the national embarrassment again, and we can all laugh at his next failure

Not sure, why you seem to have an obsession with Roy. He was brought in to do a job of keeping in the Premier, which he did with little resources and with players on contracts we couldnt move on, because of wages they were on.
Nobody knows for sure, why he was given a years extension, but it looks like it was planned to enable a clear out of older players as contracts expired. Thus enabling the club to bring in younger players and new manager, whilst retaining our Premier status.
I dont recall him bad mouthing any player in public, you just made that up.

For clarity, you and Bicycle repair man are blaming the players. Bad excuses for a bad manager.

Anyway, the dinosaur is extinct now.

We now have one of the greats of the game in charge. Typical of desperate Roy supporters to seek any excuse they can for his constant failures. Protectionism for failures has only held back the club and English football.

No-one wanted to play for that loser!

Picking Bats over Gallagher, Kane taking corners, taking Wilshire to the Euro's. Even if he had unlimited funds he'd duck it up!

Thankfully, we've moved on. Just let go, and enjoy watching the players express themselves as the club can finally progress!

Nice to see Townsend's career hasn't been ruined.

Absolutely this.

Perhaps worth noting that in his last 3 complete seasons there were 7 free transfers and only 5 paid transfers - one of which was a second keeper. Amazing job on that budget.

I'm bored with you now,Roy is a great man and manager, and that's indisputable, end of.
You're obviously some kind of weird wind up merchant, that's the only explanation, no fan could be as ignorant about football as you.

Run away from the facts!

I'm trying not to wind you up, it's just too easy to point out the obvious.... like not selecting Kane to take corners.

Thank you for your witty reply.

Ok so for someone who is defending RH at all costs, care to explain Harry Kane on corners?

RH is not a bad manager, I don’t think anyone is realistically saying that. But he did make some bloody baffling decisions.

Sounds great if you ignore the fact he inherited the most expensive squad we've ever had, his been in a job far too long to be bad at it but inter, Liverpool, England, he certainly wasn't great either. His level is ensuring premiership survival, could guardiola do what him and big Sam can do, probably not, could they achieve what pep achieved at barca and City, probably not either.

You state that Roy wouldn't play Andersen, Guehi or Gallagher if he had them in his squad, that really is nonsense.
As for the boring Kane with corners, he was the best dead ball kicker in the team,
