My prediction is that Nuno will get a very interesting reception from our fans after the will he/won't he nonsense when we were looking for a new manager!

I think apart from Chelsea and Man City everyone else is very average, i don't see any team that we cant beat with the new players we have bought in i think a top ten is very possible, league leaders at the time, west spam were very much second best to us in the second half, if we take that mentality in to the spurs game, given there problems as well, i am expecting 3 points.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

I am staggered (but heartened) by the number of optimists on here predicting a Palace win.

Love it to be so but, reality check, we've had only 3 matches and are bedding in. If Edouard and Hughes are included then a further few matches needed to get it all together as we have not reached the stage where the whole squad know each other.

Still, beat Spurs and then Arsenal and we will all have early Christmas presents !

Agree.
What's more likely is that come saturday eve were all bemoaning how we couldn't even beat an average second string Spurs bereft of all their Star players!

I'm just looking for progression tomorrow even if we get edged out bu what is a decent side. I'd like to see how Vieira can blend the new players into the side and how we can provide a greater threat.
Ideal team (4231): Guaita; Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; McArthur; Hughes, Gallagher, Zaha; Benteke, Edouard.
Then hopefully see a bit of Olise late on.
Most of all, though, I just want to get inside the ground.

LOL - I suspect that you're correct. I think a draw will be a good result 2 - 2 I'm hoping!

BBC reporting that Son could be out. We look to be making good progress under Vieira. I’m going for a battling 1-1 draw, Wilf to score.

I'll be very happy with a score draw. Another 2-2 with Edouard scoring off the bench.

Hope you lot who are there give Nuno a hard time after he led us up the garden path with all his demands in the summer.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Spurs with a depleted squad, while Palace fired up by the WH display, new signings bedding in and PV getting his message/style over - this is a great opportunity.

Palace 1-0.
