Anyone know why Sky are reporting our net spend during the window as £10m? I’m confused.

I've not seen that, although their 'ins and outs' shows a number of undisclosed fees, so maybe they're just being cautious.

Seems like we spent almost £52m and bagged a few half decent players. Pity we couldn't get a few Bob for some of the outgoings.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

8/10, wanted a winger as well but maybe in the next window.

Well done Parish and Dougie now lets hope they perform I am a lot more positive about the season.

We literally have one actual wide man, maybe two who do it sometimes, and two youngsters. So playing wide is, frankly, off the table.

Also would have liked a wide man, esp with Gray and Lookman getting moves for cheap, and Cornet going to Burnley.

But even when we had wide man we played them on the opposite wings so maybe there isn't any point?! Plus, assuming Benteke drops to the bench crossing isn't likely to be as important now? But we also didn't really do that before either!

Either way it was a great window, more excited about Palace than I have been for years. Knowing that we have some young players who are only going to get better, and looking to play a better brand of football is amazing

A lot of people writing Gray off but he has hit the ground running and has looked fantastic for Everton so far this season. Only £1.6M so definitely missed out on one there but would he have preferred us over the Toffee’s??? Unlikely.

I’d rate the transfer window as an excellent 8.5 out of 10.

Not only for the brilliant acquisitions but also for the timely shedding of dead wood, some of whom were earning way more than they were entitled to.

Ultimately proof of the pudding will come in time, but from where I'm sitting be very, very hard to criticise it on any credible level.

Don't get me wrong I'm annoyed we gave CB a new contract, but "I get it" from the clubs point of view. We've shed a load of old, outgoing players and brought in genuinely exciting, young talent which will not only improve with experience and age, but hopefully will act as a draw for other talent over the next couple of seasons.

However for me what I still can't get over is how clinical and fast we were in the window. From day dot we were ontop of our business, got deals done and refreshingly never felt rushed or panicked.

Happy days.

I honestly haven't been as impressed with our Transfers (in & out) since the days of Lombardo...Fantastic business done this summer, it might not have been exactly how I'd have done it but still bloody good. Always happy when we sign a Celtic player (it's a fan thing I think) but wish we'd got Turnbull. Maybe when Gallagher returns to Stamford Bridge we could go after him - they are pretty similar players.

I think it was a very good window.

We got our main objectives with perhaps the exception of a replacement for Andros, and we refused to pay silly money where we thought we weren't getting value.

I think we still have some options come January as well.

Hard to find fault with this window considering we had a pretty big rebuild project.

Good sensible business done.

Well done to all concerned.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Looks promising and a headache for the Manager when all are fit.

My main reservation was, and still is, the lack of a creative midfield playmaker.

I accept this is a very rare breed at PL level but a position we will need filled if we are to progress beyond a 'bottom half of the table' team.

Considering where we were before The window, I'm struggling to remember a better window than this one in my 30 years of supporting them. Must have been one in The 90s!

Last season the prospect of refreshing our squad was daunting, with our past windows performances of last minute panic buys and last minute failed medicals hanging over us.
But the board have done an exemplary job. Buying what we need and releasing those we don't with minimal fuss.
It's been very refreshing.

On paper this squad looks like a good balance of youth and experience, and has quality all over. The next Challenge is PV's to get them all playing together - as I don't think he can complain that we haven't done all we could with the squad.

I'm really looking forward to how this season develops now. Still a long way to go and some hard times ahead, but it's gonna be a great season.

COYP!
