They seem to be making assumptions that every season ticket holder has a Smart phone and access to a printer, luckily I have both but some don't.

I don't think they're making assumptions. I think they simply couldn't care less.

It all makes me feel sick when I think of those smarmy emails and letters about our "wonderful" supporters that we receive from Parish when it's season ticket renewal time. Go to hell, Parish.

I’ve become a senior season ticket holder this year and haven’t had an email yet with a ticket? I was expecting a new card with senior on it? I suppose I’m going to have to go over to the club and try and sort it out? I do have an iPhone so I’m hoping I can use that once I receive said email? Otherwise, I won’t be going this Saturday :-(

The club seem to have developed an uncanny nack of saying and doing things the are p’ing people off, me included.

I’ve been going since 1963 and starting to think I can live my life without all this crap. I hope we have an exciting season to keep me interested or I might be going shopping with her in doors next year.

I'm totally with you on this.
I've been going since 1988 and Palace used to mean everything to me. I planned all other things around me going to football first.
But the stress of what I went through over the E400 situation, paying much more for my seat as a result and now this!
I'm seriously questioning if I want to go anymore. I used to feel like I belonged there!
I work in retail and I'm very lucky they let me work my shifts around the matches but it is a struggle sometimes. So if it doesn't improve, I'll say bye to going after 20 plus years as a season ticket holder, work most saturdays instead and try to make the odd game at my local club (Welling United that is! Not Charlton!).

Club must see how unpopular this idea is why would you want to upset your customers it don't make sense. They must realise there are fans from different groups who are not it savvy they are causing these fans unnecessary stress . Hopefully club see this and give a alternative option .

I've sent emails to the club, and tweeted Steve Parish about the huge problems with the sudden introduction of the digital season tickets, and of course I have received no response.
They have our cash, and I really don't think they care about what the supporters think.

I feel as angry and resentful as anybody about the abrupt introduction of this policy. But am I the only one who has only just realised that Palace aren't alone in this? Liverpool and Manchester United, for example, are doing the same. So that weakens our position in relation to appealing to Parish's better nature and good sense (!!). But if I understand United's online "Season Ticket Hub" correctly, their "Print at Home PDF" can either be printed off for each game or printed off once and used like a season ticket. They even suggest that people who wish to do this get their PDF laminated to guard against wear and tear. That sounds all right doesn't it?

Oh for the days of having a good session on a Friday night, out till 3am, and deciding whether to go to the game on Saturday at about 2pm, depending on hangover!

In case I didn't make it clear, no smartphone is required under United's system.

All seems fine to me. Realistically everyone has a smart phone and/or can get access to a printer. Other clubs doing similar things. Time to move on and enjoy the game!
