Come off it. The entire thread is 100% 'Culture War', evidenced by the fact that you having to mention how he was 'Trump loving'.

And actually, the OP has a point. If this had been a Muslim screaming all the usual out before topping 5 people, then us on the Right would have been bashing out all the usual tropes on our keyboards. Whilst you on the Left would have been telling us how it was really just mental illness and how you 'stand' with all law-abiding Muslims.

We are all part of the same hypocrisy.

The vast majority of people aren’t as tribal as you probably think they are and recognise left vs right in totality for the binary & outdated pile of nonsense it all is. Even people who purport themselves to be puritans on either side generally aren’t when you inspect their ideology a little closer. And the ones who are, are usually just punting some outright nasty stuff such as fascism or Stalinism.

I’m largely on the left but I wouldn’t touch Labour with a barge pole as a result of this. And the fact they can’t win an election isn’t a coincidence. People are sick to the back teeth of the extremism, especially when it’s so easily refuted.

Who cares if it’s terrorism or not? All that changes is how we approach the situation. It doesn’t change the outcome of it which is numerous innocent people dying. Outside of the fringe extremists not a single person would want this to be labelled as anything but terrorism if that’s what it was. But similarly I don’t think we should call things terrorism without establishing the facts simply because Croydon Proud on the internet wants us so he can beat his culture war opponents round the head with it.

Fair point, it pays to see the ills across the board, rather than point in one direction while ignoring similar problems closer to our own politics.

I just wish above all that this bloke had started and ended this with himself rather than bringing so much misery to others.

I just got in not going to comment on Op but like others I feel very sad for the victims and angry and how this clown could have a legal weapon.

Parliament needs to look again at gun control. I get that farmers and some specialist groups e.g. police need them but frankly I don't care about some idiot's human right to own and shoot a gun. If you want to do that go abroad plenty of countries will provide a "shooting holiday"

At the very least guns should be held at a gun club and not allowed off the premises something went badly wrong here and not for the first time.

You are buying into false narratives that with a little thinking don't hold up.

Firstly being 'online' makes little difference as we have these kind of shootings from disaffected before the online world from similar individuals.....Hungerford and so on.

Secondly 'Incel' seems to be one of the groups that leftist hypocrites like to accuse of any trait they pretend to hate....yet don't speak about in their 'protected' groups who they give a pass to.

The reality is that the vast majority of them would never do this. Yet these are people who your bubble are ok with slagging off aren't they Dan.

Double standard much?

As for spicy Orange, he's just delivering his anti white line of trolling. It's in bad taste due to the timing but I suppose bad taste is part of trolling.

As some have said, thoughts are with the innocents in this. Taken away by a disaffected nutter.....the fact that a child was among them makes it even sadder.

Strange post this. All his social media posts are out in the open and it’s quite clear he was influenced by what he read and saw online. Murders happened before guns as well so does that mean guns make little difference?

His posts and videos are littered by language and rhetoric that is very ‘online’. If what he was watching and reading triggered in any way what he did it’s important it’s understood why.

He was certainly a disaffected nutter but online radicalisation seems to have played a big part in this.

You seem to be the kind of person who thinks that if he wasn't online this wouldn't have happened. Yet it was painfully explained....which you appeared to ignore that these very same murders happened even more regularly before the Internet.

I imagine if you counted how many people are online from that community to how many commit murder....it's like those dinosaurs saying that video games encourage murder.

But you quite happily demonised a whole category of people based upon this guy's actions.

Compare your description of 'incels' that you wrote on here and how free you were demonising them with knife murders happening in London, which are disproportionally by one group.

I seem to have missed your easy condemnation of a whole group?

Yet some 'incel' nutter goes postal and out comes the rhetoric.

Keep kneeling.

Mods, can Orange 1290 get a yellow just for being a Tw@t or is that not sufficient?

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I'd agree that keeping the numbers of guns low within the country is a good idea.

Most murders aren't planned and happen on the spot via emotion dysfunction and easy access to guns increases the impact.

However, If someone with half a brain seriously wants to plan out a murder , it's difficult to stop them.
