Nothing like Eze so the comparison is pointless. Hughes is a 6 or 8(defensive midfield or shuttler). Eze is a 10. Might as well comment on his goalkeeping abilities while you’re at it. Edited by Mathers (16 Aug 2021 6.08pm) You are unlickley to see the two play in the same team,Eze is a slightly more advanced player positionally. It is up to the Manager where he wishes to play them and reading your posts I doubt wether he will consult you.

He’s definitely switched from attacking mid to a holding mid since being at Watford. Last season they are payed 4-3-3 with Hughes often sitting with Cleverely & Chalobah. If we are looking at him, i highly doubt it’s down to his attacking capabilities.

Ok last years stats for you; Hughes - Tackles 91. Success rate 63% Can you spot the attacking midfielder out of that list? Hint; it’s not Hughes. The rest are all CM or CDM with pretty similar tackling success.

Good Championship player, hasn't stepped up to the Premiership despite plenty of chances.

Thanks Omph. Stats clearly show Hughes would not be bought in for his attacking returns. Goals and assist would be a bonus. Any player comparison has to be against somebody fulfilling the same position/ role otherwise it’s pointless.

I think he'd be a good player to have for the figures being mentioned. Even if not always first choice a good combatative midfielder who could come in. Our squad is quite thin.

According to click bait merchants HITC we have had our bid of tuppence ha'penny rejected as Watford are looking for at least 7p According to said click baiter our offer was "take it or leave it"
