Hungary a bit unlucky I thought.

They were but how many times was that said during the last Euros about teams Portugal faced. The fact they make themselves so difficult to beat, have world beaters all over the pitch & still get a 3-0 win is the reason they’re right up there imo.

We're the Arthur over ere!

Agree P. O. G.

Is it me, or is the Hungarian Manager, Ollie's brother?

I thought exactly the same thing! Dead ringer.

Ronaldo went on to score a couple. The guy's indestructible.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Germany just scored a great goal for France!
Don't know who's co-commentating alongside Tyldesley, but he's a Scot and he's driving me crazy. I've not heard him say anything meaningful yet.

See, I don't think it was a brilliant goal. The keeper basically made it an open goal. The scorer noticed during the first half that this was the case, so when he took advantage of it, it was a calculated choice and not s spur of the moment thing. Plus surely any professional footballer being paid thousands a week should be able to float a ball into a goal from the half-way line.

In summary; it was poor decision-making by the goalkeeper and an abject failure by the coaches to tell the goalie to...err...protect his goal.

I wouldn’t bet money on any Palace player being able float a ball into the goal from the halfway line. They can’t from 10yards most of the time.

This lad impressed me for the Swiss V Wales, i liked the way he harries & bullies opposition players, took his goal well . . .

Apologies Mods if not allowed in this thread, its an observation, NOT, a transfer rumour/suggestion.

If we top our group (which is v likely now we've beaten Croatia), we run into 2nd place from Portgual/France/Germany in the last 16, so we're very much a 'victim' of the draw as opposed to a beneficiary.

Sides like Spain and Belgium have much better routes to the later stages (assuming they top their groups).

I could see us coming unstuck against the cheating and diving of a team like Portugal. In general I think the refereeing has been very good in terms of not blowing up for every minor physical thing, but there are always sh1t refs - like the one who produced two yellow cards for the Polish fella.

Portugal are probably a better team without the diving. If ever there should have been a yellow for diving, it should have been in their match. It's a rule so ignored that it's now pointless and may as well be scrapped. If enforced Salah would miss half the season too.
