I don't insist on it at all. I would be very happy to be responding to comments which acknowledge the truth and the real reasons why Brexit happened. It was a political stitch up from start to finish. No political party thought it was in our best interests. The Tories only did it to bury the UKIP threat, putting party before country. For which they will never be forgiven by me. It was a disaster as it turned into a marketing campaign, selling our country's future like soap powder to the gullible. Then there was the modern phenomenon of foreign interference via social media muddying the water. Given all of that it was actually remarkable that it was still so close. It also confirmed my belief that decisions this important must only be taken by experts. Those we vote to represent us. What's the point of having people as our representatives if we then delegate power to people as devious as Dominic Cummings? Or Vladimir Putin. Your delusional mind has no limits.

Having seen the chaos the EU have caused with their vaccine policy this has been the most obvious reason I am glad we are out. Give it a few years and the whole lot will be gone other countries are already making noises about leaving after us and in my line of work I having spoken to several people from various European countries who said that we did the right thing and they too want their country to leave particularly Germany and Netherlands. The EU is stuffed fall of failed politicians with enormous egos which has outgrown its true size. Had it been just a trading block only I would be happy for the UK to be a part of it but not something which tries to dictate our lives.

Germany vaccinated more than 1 million yesterday and will have vaccinated way more than half their population by the end of May. That's also while keeping their covid death rate per million at half that of the UK. What's better, a headline vaccination campaign with twice the death rate or quietly getting on with it while having half the death rate? That's also with having 8 porous land borders and no advantages of being an island with regards to international movement control. The UK's use of a vaccination campaign to advertise perceived advantages of brexit while ignoring the massive death rate is typical of the sleaze and endemic culture of lying that the current UK government has been pumping out for more than a year. There has never been any "bleating"! Despair at the regressive attitudes of some people and disdain of their insistence it would all work out in the end. Yes to both. Where does it get me? In the same mess as everyone else but still with a determination to do all I can, modest though it may be, to mitigate the worst impacts in the time I have left. Not for me. It will make little or no difference to my life. For my family and the country I love.

So you don’t actually know! Don’t let facts pass you by PP. In the UK anyone who died in hospital, for whatever reason, within 28 days of a positive COVID test, were counted as a COVID death.. fact

Germany also has a much, much larger health service capacity. For example, the UK has 150,000 beds, Germany 500,000 and that's for a population just 20% larger than that if the UK.
