So phillip, r.i,p, lived to nearly 100, in great comfort for the last 70 years, did his bit in the war, like lots of others grandfathers i imagine, set up d.o.e scheme, was generally a good egg! But lets not forget, he asked for more taxpayers money or the royals would be forced to downsize,(which of the 4 castles/palaces he ment i don"t know, but windsor is absolutely massive, did a job there one night and it is a stunning place to live). He also called the british workers sloth(thanks Tim Gypsy hill for putting me right), lazy in other words, and shot a tiger! That was 60 years ago before they were becoming an indangered species, but wtf, he shot a tiger! Would any other sane people, just shoot a beautiful wild animal for the fun of it? If it was attacking you you might, but this one wasn"t, but phil shot it for fun, and has the pic to prove it! I know Tim Gypsy hill thinks thats ok, he told me, but phil wasn"t a saint obviously, we all wish him well in the next world, but i hope karma does exist in whatever land that is and the tiger is in front of phil in the hierarchy!

Tiger pelts make lovely front room rugs though.

At the time that he made the comment about British workers being lazy he was probably correct although it was difficult to calculate how hard working they were as they were always on strike.

The thread on News/Politics was locked because it ceased to be about Prince Philip. This one was left open, as I stated, for discussion about PP, his funeral or directly related matters - NOT POLITICS.

It is related becky, as hrh called british workers sloth, and he also shot a beautiful tiger dead, that"s phillip hrh, and that"s what the thread is about.

Do you think it would be a good idea to have a thread about hrh can do no wrong, and another thread titled hrh had his faults? Just asking becky my love, just asking.

No, but you laboured the point about the tiger to death on the other thread, and I don't see that the 'member for Medway' has too much relevance........
