'Fish are happier in British waters' - Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Haha - he actually said that in the HOC to an incredulous speaker.

I talk to a lot of fish in Croydon and they all feel dis-plaiced by the whole issue.

Isn't Brexit great.

Not only because we have escaped the clutches of federalism but because we can all sit back and enjoy some die hard Remainers feebly clutching at straws in a pitiful attempt to save face.

As expected there are some teething problems mainly to do with distribution networks quite why M&S want to import a fully packaged Percy Pig to the UK mainland and then re-export it to Ireland?

The bigger concern at the moment is the French toughening up their virus checking which seems to be delaying the truckers.

As for Scottish fish JRM was correct the Scottish Government was given £200m to get ready for Brexit what did they spend it on certainly not helping their fisherman who they were quite happy to throw under the bus less than a month ago.

Things will calm down as both sides must realise it's in their own interests to make this deal work. I was in the supermarket today and all I could see was Spanish fruit and veg I bet the Spanish don't want that rotting due to some over officious official.

EU dictates to member countries what they have to do to receive bailout funds.

[Link]

Glad we are not part of this I have no problem with the idea of countries being fiscally responsible but I don't like an external agency making that decision.

Is this not the sort of reason why some wished to leave? Unelected bureaucrats telling Governments how to run their countries.

You might think this is a fiscal power grab but you would be mistaken. People on here repeatedly tell us that the EU is not trying to do that and we are just scare mongering.

Nissan moving their battery making plant to Sunderland, stating that the UK has become a competitive place to do business since Brexit.

Who would have thought!
