Once I went out with a very fit blond Ausie bird in London who after two weeks revealed her serious wrist scars that she had kept hidden from me, when she had tried to top herself. I could tell she was barking mad anyway, and finished with her the nest day.

I though about it for a few days, then binned her off. It was all just too much for me to deal with.

well, to cut a long story short. After a few frustrating efforts and difficult episodes it all emerged. Totally frigid and unable to do the deed.

but she liked all the other parts of a relationship....the flowers, the romantic dinners, the sunsets.

I wished her the best of luck in finding Mr Right.

Thanks for the support chaps. I'd like to think that if I'd realised that the situation would eventually amuse some Palace fans on the HOL, it might have momentarily offered a crumb of comfort from the horror of watching the dying embers of my relationship gradually extinguished with each brutal thrust.
