Brilliant goal. He looks so languid but is deceptively fast - the United players looked like they were running in quicksand chasing him. I though he was poor in the Villa and Liverpool games. What a response. I agree. He looked as though he was beginning to believe all the hype so putting him on the bench to watch and reflect on the words that would doubtless have been given to him, makes perfect sense. The goal was outstanding and although he was still guilty of a little unnecessary showboating he is learning fast. Schlupp is also playing very well though and deserves his place so I don't expect Eze to be starting every game. Nice problem to have!

Eze is absolute mustard. A Palace legend in the making. Twitter was abuzz with praise for him today but it's annoying to see "big club" supporters expressing their annoyance that they're going to have to pay £50-60m+ for his services for his "big move". Really hope he can stay here and flourish, with the guidance of Wilf

Reward him with a free role and the whole team will blossom. Cool kid for sure!

I noticed how the senior players praise the youngsters on a good bit of play. It's nice to see.

Needs a bit of coaching when out of possession, but I think we can all agree, fabulous with it. And takes the focus of Wilf. Perfectly put. He's at the perfect club for coaching when out of possession.

Eze didn't seem to be out of 2nd gear. He seemed to be cruising, but what I found hilarious on the replay was someone, RH or a coach, shouting "GO GO GO!" I noticed, after Eze scored, there did not seem to be a great deal of joy among the other players in coming to congratulate him (except a Wardy hug). Is that coz he's new?
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

I think the reason no one celebrated with him was because our aged squad of geriatrics couldn’t catch him...

That goal was 'better than Wilf'. for all the times Zaha has turned defenders inside out he's never finished one of his runs off like that, the skills he shows does not always match the damage he does, apart from a solo masterpiece at Burney a season or two back, it's taken Wilf a long time to add end product to all his skills, Eze doesn't always make the right choices but at comparable ages Eze is way ahead in terms of end product.

I've said it elsewhere, but you need to find a way of accommodating Eze as he is one of our best players, the caveat on this is that against the better teams we look exposed down the left when he plays. We have Arsenal and Man City away in our next two games and if Eze starts on the left in front of Mitchell my worry is we could struggle as they are likely to use players like Mahrez and Saka to target that potential weakness. With Schlupp likely to be out I think Roy needs to look at his formation as Eze does not do enough defensively and with only two players in the middle there isn't cover. Eze is going to get stick as when things don't go well his laidback style will rub some people up the wrong way, but when it goes right, man it is going to be good, you just know it

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
