A lot of local shopping areas have lots of people around. I know that boots and WH Smith’s can open because smith’s sells newspapers and sandwiches but independent card shops can’t. You can also buy take away food from everyone’s favourite lunch outlets. Saw a pub rammed last night. People standing inside all over.

This certainly wasn't the scene in a 'Local' I visited last night.I pay regular visits to this establishment ! Standing is NOT permitted and the clientele have adhered to the regulations.Customers enter and exit wearing face coverings and when they need to 'Spend a penny'.

Sensible comments here. I’m just waiting for the lockdown supporters to get involved. They are easy to spot, they don’t have a financial worry in the world and are happy to shut down everything to keep themselves safe. So the easiest one to spot is BJ then. It’s his idea. He’s in charge.

And you mean me that said English people and those who’ve spent many years here don’t like being lied to. That is correct. Boris has been lying, so have others. Whitty, Valance, SAGE, probably Starmer as well. Starmer can’t really believe some of the cr@p he comes out with. And what about Manchester’s positives falling for 5 days before that power play with Boris and wanting a national lockdown a week before? And of course the media. The biggest bullsh1tters of the lot. The best was Sky saying a week ago that immunity doesn’t last. That’s true if they omit T-cell immunity from their broadcasts and articles, which they then announced are the case 4 days after putting more fear into the easily influenced over a long weekend. We also have R numbers and daily numbers of new ‘positives’ falling before lockdown 2, but no mention of it from the government, along with still using their ‘scenario’ which was 75% out on Saturday yet they quote 4,000 deaths a day if their original‘scenario’ was unfolding, which it isn’t. When Theresa Maybot finally becomes useful and points this stuff out in Parliament Boris walks out so he doesn’t have to hear her. Boris has been exposed as no good in times of crises and he has one eye on the public inquiry and so it’s better to over estimate and look like they’re aiming for as few Covid deaths as possible, which is also the figure countries are compared on. Everything else comes a far second.
