It looks like it has been completed and price agreed is £1 million which if true is an incredible price. It looks like Stoke needed to get his wages off the books and also a deal below a certain level then it stops a 25% share to Birmingham as part of sell on fee. I just hope he can find his form again as not been good the last few seasons. When in the England team he looked very promising and has far more chance of improving than WH. Nothing to dislike about this. Good replacement for Hennessey and six years younger than both him and Guaita. If he can respond to the doubtless good coaching he'll receive then could be offer some competition as well.

Our 2nd and 3rd keeper is now stronger than Liverpool's second choice! Strength in depth. Could be a shrewd signing hopefully he can regain his confidence and get back to his best.

He may well become our no 1 if Guaita gets poached in the summer. I accept it's a risk but he could just prove to be one of our best buys if he is able to regain his England form.

The Stoke fans clearly think he's awful but also that he needs a new challenge. Time will tell. He's no worldie these days, but he's our No. 2 so we shouldn't expect him to be.

It seems like every year we need a CF and every year we sign a goalkeeper. Yes, I get it that it’s an important role, but do we do this because goalkeepers are all we can afford.
