Its not losing the game thats the problem. Its the spineless performance, lack of ambition and Roys stubborn refusal to try and change anything that gets me. There is no plan B. We park the bus and try and break every f***ing game. We know how we are going to play and so does everybody else and if it doesnt work we lose the game.

Potter gets a tune out of a team who came close to being relegated last season and have won less games than us this year. Brilliant ! Edited by EddieMac (04 Oct 2020 10.51am)

Obviously the "Roy Out" theme has been done to death and we all have our views on the matter. Personally I think the next three games are crucial and will define the rest of the season - Brighton, Fulham, and Wolves. Potential banana skin games that could see us consolidate or slip up, depending what type of Palace turn up.

This thread is boring and should be shutdown, this has been played out all summer so why start it all over again, shut it down! Simple, you don’t have to read it. It’s highly relative for those who believe it’s time for Roy to call it a day. We need a forward thinking manager in the guise of Bielsa or Santo. They play modern football, we play kick and run.

Roy plays the team to the best of its ability, changing the manager will not solve the problem. first we need investment in the team and that means probably a change in ownership as the current lot seem to have little or no interest in team investment. We will not attract any forward thinking manager as you put it if the board are not interested!

I just happen to believe there is nothing wrong with the squad of players we have, but the brand of football we play. Please don’t tell me that Leeds have assembled a multi billion pound team because they haven’t. I reckon if Bielsa was our manager we would not be playing the same way with the current crop of players. I don’t want to be argumentative but please remind me a team of Roy’s that has ever played differently to the way we currently play. I certainly can’t think of one.

It’s the lack of a plan B and the painfully slow response from Roy when we’re not playing well that I find unbearably frustrating. We’re okay if we get our noses in front but when we go behind - you might as well stop watching until the 70th minute as he never does anything until then. I think his loyalty to some players is misplaced (in particular Wilf and McArthur yesterday) when we needed to change things up and try something different it was too late by the time he did anything. Even then hardly an attacking change was it. Not calling for Roy to go - but I am getting very frustrated with him.

Why do people always get over flipping emotional. We lost due to four mistakes and Sakho having a real bad day at the office. We lost 4-0 to Spurs last September, it happens - Man City lost Leicester last week by a margin, Wolves lost to West Ham last week by a margin. These things happen! People talking about the next three games will shape our season ( really) how is that, we are in October and scoring goals and winning games. People really must take a balanced view on results and realise we have a squad good enough to win enough games and as the first two games proved are good enough to play attractive football. Roy has his faults - rigid system and subs defensive players for defensive players when we need attackers, however he gets the job done come May!

I agree people don't offer a balanced view and think managing is an easy job. Just watching West Ham thrash Leicester, who beat Man City 5-2 last week, don't think Leicester have had one shot on goal. Do you think Leicester fans will be calling for Rodgers out, doubt it, these results happen.

I would rather see Eze in the middle but i think Roy dont trusts our defenders enough to only have the protection of one dm. Other teams back fours are more athletic than ours, watching West Ham today proved the point they dealt with the Leicester attack comfortably while having a real threat at the other end but when we played them we just sat back and waited for the inevitable to happen just like yesterday easiest 3 points Chelsea will get all season.

You seem pretty convinced you are right, but we will never know until he goes and then you might find there is more talent in this squad than is currently being utilised.
