It's also 9 years old.

I think comparing leagues is subjective of course the PL is stronger than the Scottish PL but is the Scottish Pl stronger than Turkey? I suspect the best you can do is to split the 52 UEFA leagues into groups e.g. the worst, the elite and 2 or 3 groups for those in the middle.

How do you define the best? Most exciting? Richest? League with the most world class players? etc.

One more point

I like the “player to watch” Josh McEachran (who?). I guess things haven’t worked out as he would have hoped in the 9 years since that article.

This doesn’t relate to standard, just money sloshing around.

Well the UEFA one is 2018. The point I guess is by how much to adjust goals in Turkey, and the Turkish league must be stronger than the Championship surely?

I doubt it's stronger than the championship, plenty of big teams go for promotion every season. Look at Fulham, WBA, Leeds, Villa etc.

The UEFA club rankings would suggest not.

The 2020 table is on the same link if you scroll along. Of course it relates to club success in the two European club competitions.

Well only for a basic comparison purposes. Besiktas are 28th and Celtic 45th for example.

If Roy said he was crap, then Freedman and Parish were just following his advice to get rid of him.

That is why Roy has not got the players he asked for over the last few t/f windows, do you really think Parish does what others want?, or maybe not and that's why other managers walked when he did not listen?

whatever way you look at it if he had played all season for us, 90 mins nearly every game, im sure he could have scored more than ayew zaha and benteke.

Probably not more than Ayew. Almost certainly more than Benteke and possibly more than Zaha.

However, having said all that, isn't it time we closed this thread. He's not coming back!
