There is disagreement between the various parties over Carrasco's salary. Dalian Yifan want all of it paid, whilst Palace are offering to pay 60%. Palace would like a loan with the option to buy. If true that's typical Palace. I wonder what Parish would say if a club came in for Zaha on those terms

It's never our fault, it's always someone else.

Snap. That wage is ridiculous for a loanee in a season where we are destined to stay up anyway. Unless this guy has a realistic chance of signing permanently I'm not even interested. Too many fans think that if you just throw money at a problem it solves the problem.....Well, there are plenty of relegated clubs that have found the opposite. We have to be clever with what we have.

I don't see this deal going anywhere. But really hope I'm wrong. The player appears to be something of a mercenary as his playing in China on that salary at this point in his career indicates. If he's now so desperate to leave that country, I'm sure he could afford to negotiate a lower salary elsewhere to facilitate a move even on a short term loan. Palace may well be being used here by the Chinese and the players agent, but I wouldn't think that even the likes of Arsenal would pay those wages 100%

This deal is very difficult to make when we're talking about this kind of player and qith this salary and with Arsenal and AC Milan and Olympique Marseille as competition. I made a point about Orsic being exactly a player like Carrasco in my other thread. You can hardly find 2 more similar left wibger. Except that Croatian is 20-25 million cheaper and not wanted by the above big clubs. Maybe the club should take him into consideration.

I'd play on the moon for £180k a week. "Family " reasons suggests both he and his family hate it out there which is hardly surprising as China is not a nice place to live He will take a big pay cut to play in a European top league. The primary reason being his missus I suspect. Whether that is to us...?
