a) Liverpool wont play him again
b) He wasn't impressive on loan at Bournemouth and they have shown no indication of re-acquaintance this year
c) Terrible off field rep

I'm guessing he will see it as a climbdown and play accordingly. There is no way he is forcing his way back into the England setup

Pass

Is the right answer. Go for someone younger who can develop and play Ward there this season.

Talk of Walker-Peters from Spurs this morning. Spurs fans think highly of him. Could be a good loan option if we can't find a permanent replacement (or don't want to be mugged due to awareness of the AWB fee)

I would love to be a fly on the wall of Dougie's office to see who our targets are so I can waste time watching them on YouTube instead of working.

Probably exactly what he's doing

Hire Matteo for 200k a year on a 5 year contract

Down to 49m.

Buy 8 19yo players for a combined 16m, all of whom are better than Wilf/any other players in the world and have unreal goal-per-minute ratios.

Down to 33m.

Put 33m in a one-year, fixed rate cash account paying 2.5% interest with Skipton Building Society.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I think you will find the owners will declare bumper dividends as there is a bit of money in the pot.

We will simply sign some freebies and loan players as per last few windows.

We have no money.

A loan with option to buy would be great but with rumours of Trippier leaving he might get his chance this season. But would be great if not.

I don't think Aarons of Norwich or Castagne of Atalanta are likely as one would have to give up the chance of Champions league football and the other probably just needs to get one decent Premier league season under his belt (as we've just seen with AWB) to secure a 'big' move.

Fingers crossed we'll unearth a gem and I'd be more than happy with Walker-Peters. But as I'd mentioned earlier I wish Fosu-Mensah had been included in the deal to at least have been a cover and avoid us being ripped off for any future bids for an RB.

RB - Max Aarons 20 mil, guarentee he'll be worth 40mil in a year or 2 so a good investment
ST - Batshuayi 35 mil

Would use the money from Wilf's eventual sale to bring in a new winger and upgrade the midfield a bit. We have a good squad a side from that.

Surprised there's been no chat about Jayden Bogle. I'd be willing to spend 8-10 mil getting him in with Ward a decent backup for our level of club. Then unless anyone else is leaving, I'd look to get a youngish winger to rotate in with Wilf & Townsend (8-12 mil) and a new Striker. Anything left put towards getting in some promising youngsters - the lad Liverpool just signed for 1.3 mil plus extras for a lad who has 15 starts in the Eredivisie at 17 seems like good business.

I'd also be looking at the England u19s, u20s and looking to pick players up from Champ and below sides - if they don't have lengthy contracts, they probably won't cost that much as clubs would fear losing them for nothing (maybe even loan them back for a year). Players like Eze at QPR, George Hirst in Belgium, some of the Brentford lads, Loader at Reading, Panzo at Monaco is a South London boy.

No need to sign a right back at all, Ward and Kelly will do just fine. Neither is in AWBs class but they won't let us down and we need goals more than we need a replacement full back.

Get Bats in, and then focus on a goalscoring midfielder to play no10. Maybe Meyer will develop but he's shown precious little evidence of that so far.
