Come back for a visit and I will happily buy you a pint somewhere suitable for a gentleman of mature years. The Royal Standard should be fine.

Maybe my memory fails me but most of the parts of Croydon I frequent don't feel vastly different.

As a teenager I used to drink at the Fox and Hounds which was pretty notorious. It's now called the Old Fox and Hounds, so that's progress innit.

I rarely drank in Croydon when lived there.

The Cartoon for some live music, The Ship a few times and The Builders on occasion, The Cricketers and Sand Rock once in a while, but I usually drank in Beckenham.

I guess you were a regular at the Three Tonnes?

The Tonnes when it was an '80s video pub, The George far too often with occasional visits to the other Beckenham pubs.
The only one I steered clear of was the Bricklayers.

Being 'British' has, incidentally, meant being white for thousands of years. More importantly it carries genetic, cultural and historical significance.

If genes are not important, why do we have children? Why do we have countries and tribes and families?
Why do we bother to exist at all?

Would the Chinese still be Chinese if they were invaded and outbred by a load of Europeans?

Your logic is entirely dictated by politics and ideology. You are happy to surrender your heritage because you see no value in your own race and only have time to defend others.

I know this wasn't a reply to me, but 'again', immigration policy is where your influence and focus should be. The language you are using implies that people having children with someone of a different race are some kind of race traitors. They are not.

Only if that is how you want to read it.

People are free to do what they please but that does not alter the facts. Certainly, the government is responsible for policy, and the EU of course.

Even Rory Stewart seems to have noticed the accent ( and sign-language) changes. Not exactly the dialect from the times of the potato famine ?

Surprise surprise.

We now seem to be getting young irish girls being raped by 'Asian males'.

Any attempts by the media to cover-up the story (or the background of the attackers) seem futile at this point.

The fact that the small town has recently opened a 'Direct Provision Centre' for refugees seems to be totally coincidental.

This is not the first time. I can tell you a grooming gang has been uncovered in Limerick of around 30 men - mainly of 'foreign' origin but it has been covered up.
There was a previous spate of sexual assaults in Wexford linked to asylum seekers/ illegal immigrants. Again not deemed in our interest to actually report it. We can all continue to be happy, clappy and revel in our next pointless/ point scoring referendum.
