He was out injured for a long time and then didn't play regularly, needs time to get back to his best form.

We should take Clyne all day long , prem experience , solid and in today's market £12m is cheap .

God saves all but Mateta nets the rebounds !

He's cheap for a reason and not cheap enough at all. He is completely unwanted and could be bought for cheaper: would not be facing any competition to sign him. Perhaps he would do well in the championship. He was young and his head wasn't turned when he was here. He has had his head turned all the way round now. A free transfer would be good - or something close to that. 12 mil too much for someone who is frankly a risk. Do some research on him and see what you think then.

What’s fact and what’s fiction though?

Remember Wilf being bombed out of United and all the rumors that entailed....

Clyne has been demonstrating his form on the pitch too. There is certainly a chance he could get back to where he was when he was here but it would still be a risk. Would not expect the work rate or commitment of AWB to be emulated by Clyne. Far from it really.

Not for me I’m afraid. To many other distractions in his life to worry about concentrating on football.

I think if the money is right, yes.

I agree with others that he's being sold cheap for a reason and if we can beat the price down enough it makes it worth the risk. Got another good 3/4 years at this level with the right attitude, which it appears is where the risk lies.

Could be a good buy if the management team was absolutely confident that he could do well here. Not sure how they'd figure that out or if they even have much of an input into the recruitment process. This could well happen as a nostalgic Parish purchase.

Showed an excellent attitude whilst he was here, liked up well with with Wilf when he played on the right. Has England caps to his name (after Walker, Trippier, Alexander Arnold, and AWB hes probably the next best English right back).

A solid replacement for around £15m with £40m spare to spend elsewhere.

Am I right in thinking that when he won the Player of the Year award he had so little regard for the fans that he couldn't be bothered to turn up to receive it?

That's a very biased view as he was on holiday in Spain at the time.

Were you at the awards ceremony? If not was that because you have so little regard for the club that you couldn't be bothered to turn up?
