ok let’s cut the crap that Palace did really well today to beat Huddersfield. We played really badly and were luck not to end up loosing.
Every season we play this game of will we stay up or not.
We have really good players on our books now, we are not the Palace of 4 or 5 or 6 years ago.
Someone needs to read these players And management the riot act, someone is not pushing these players hard enough to achieve what we want to achieve, someone is complacent and is happy for us to just barely stay in the PL.
Mr Parish you are a very successful businessman so you must see that we are allowing ourselves to stagnate and not conquer this league.
If management needs changing then so be it have a spring clean but do something.

Not sure if it is about pushing the players to perform than a lack of ability to adapt to different opposition tactics. When teams come at us we look threatening but breaking down teams we struggle. Wolves, who have been better than us employing this system have looked a little similar at times. Again today it looked like the players weren't gelling and seemed to get in each others way or lose possession with poor passing. Solution might have to come from the transfer market but don't think we have been very clever at times previously there. Maybe our best bit of business will be to get somebody in who knows what they are doing in the market ?

i think that the team we have today is ultimately the best team we have ever had...some strength in depth too (albeit assisted by the batsman loan)

i can't help but feel that these players , coached in a progressive modern way would be pushing for this europe thing that so often the club has muted.

i think Roys is doing all 'he' can with all he has...however all 'he' can ...and all 'someone else' can may , and i suspect, are, two very different things.

Roy has all the attributes a 'director of football' needs that dougie doesn't have. Keep him on board for the rest of his life as an advisor to the 'chairman/owner fans'

a new, progressive manager for next season would breath new life into this team that is being stifled by its own leadership....

can you imagine this group of players mixed with a wagner/hassenhutle type

i sense we need a dowie moment (the good one, not the run out of ideas one) where upon a fresh approach to training and tactics bring about remarkable on field performances.

today i actually was dying for huddersfield to score, as for a moment, it seemed the only way we were actually going to step up a gear....c'mon terriers ...woof it in

Maybe if we play as bad again against Everton as we did first half yesterday we should all down programs and do a frank...wonder how mush our players would enjoy playing in front of an empty holmesdale...might make Mr Parish do something...like move Uncle Roy into another role.

It looks like we'll survive for another season so one would expect news of ownership, managerial appointment, transfers etc to happen close season. Saying that in typical Palace fashion it'll all happen at the proverbial 11.55 moment...

We are all but safe. It’s time for Roy to experiment a bit and try and get a 90 minute performance out of our team. I thought we looked better yesterday when Wilf got further forward and supporting Bats, so maybe a couple of changes to assist this.

1) we are clearly not getting the best out of PVA, he is a capable quick counter attacking player but has defensive frailties, so maybe it’s time to move Schlupp to left back and PVA to left midfield. This will allow Wilf to drift more inside. If this fails then you have Meyer who can slot in there (if looking for an aggressive substitution) and our third defensive minded midfielder (if we are looking to tighten it up or close a game out).

2) we look solid with Milivojevic and Kouyate or McArthur but is it realistic to have all 3 of them on the pitch at one time? For me it has to be Luka plus one other. Andros should keep his place right side.

3) Bats struggles to hold up play or win 50:50s he is a different sort of player and needs someone close by so that they can link up play. Moving Wilf closer to him is I think beneficial .

This is just my view on what I have seen this season, happy to be shot down and expecting to be with the PVA suggestion but I genuinely think it is worth a go.

I understand your point about PVA & Schlupp but here is why I disagree. While PVA doesn't cut out as many passes as I would like he still closes down his mark well and prevents crosses. He and Schlupp have developed a good understanding that allows both to attack when required. I not one of those who thinks Meyer is so much superior to Schlupp that he should be in the side instead. Schlupp is more consistently active and is a more consistent player than Meyer. Remember, Meyer is only 19 playing his first season in England. He is coming along nicely.

Getting back to PVA and Schluppp, a 4-3-3 doesn't play as well to their respective strengths as a 4-4-2. Roy has had the luxury (especially since it's Palace) of having depth in the midfield with Kouyate and McArthur giving him options every match. Football is slowly evolving into a full roster game from a set starting XI. I believe we have to get used to squad rotation and a bit of horses for courses. For example, I see changes coming for Wednesday with rither McArthur or Kouyate starting with Milivojevic and Townsend in midfield and Meyer returning to the subs bench. PVA will have his hands full on the left of defense and Schlupp (or perhaps he sits for the addition of both Kouyate and McArthur) will need to support him more than usual. I am absolutely certain that PVA is our best choice at LB, My other question for Wednesday is whether Kelly or Dann starts with Tomkins.

He really doesn't. .....

But I do agree that he is our best option af LB. I also agree that schlupp shoukd start ahead of meyer. At the moment meyer is better used as an impact sub. Although schlupp is a bit if a headless chicken, I love his enthusiasm and when he drives forward i always feel something might happen...
We're probably in the minority though

I thought Huddersfield targeted our L/H/S yesterday. In the first 5 mins PVA had given the ball away 4 times and after 12 mins Schlupp and PVA had given it away a combined 11. I got a bit bored counting after that TBH.

Schlupp is really frustrating, one minute he might do something really good like his touch for the shot when he slipped yesterday but then cocks up the simple stuff like passing.

PVA looks shaky to me at LB. For example Brighton's winner the other week needed him to get a foot on the ball but he let Knockheart (however his name is spelled) continue his run and score. I think competition for PVA next season is a must so he's no longer a shoe in at LB.

I was convinced Schlupp was going to be replaced by Kouyaté as he was having a bad game but Roy must see something different. Maybe Mr H should have a watch from the upper sometime?

Too many abbreviations to make that remotely understandable

After the first 70 mins on Saturday all three season tickets were nearly in the bin let alone renewing for next season.

It’s got to change at some point though.

I thought that was the best I have seen Huddersfield play all season (out of the times I have seen them of course which must be five or six inc TV games they've been on and against us).
If they had played like that every game they might well have stayed up.
And to think idiots on here think Wagner is a better option for us than Hodgson!
