So true.

The narrow minds of some fans do my head in.
You have to think big or forever be stuck with mediocrity.

Look at Bournemouth, what an example to us all. They keep reinvesting and turning up gems. They're a tiny club getting bigger by the season.

We are as good as our league position.

Friends have told me that whenever they see Palace on TV they are struck by how 'scrappy' we seem compared to even clubs below us in the league.

I agree after watching our efforts against Brighton and Watford. No organisation, no link-up play, no movement by forwards and, worst of all, attempted passes to marked colleagues.

The one thing we are good at is counter attacking, as shown by our creditable away form - this is what will keep us up

Sorry, you are saying Watford have NO players that a top club would want? Foster would be a shoo-in for England if he hadn't said he's not interested. Doucouré? Pereyra? Deulefeo? Holebas who is actually our player of the year this year, most assists by a defender equal with Robertson.

Who do Watford have on the bench? Gomes; Cleverley (England caps); Chalobah (England caps at all levels); Kabasele (Belgium); Prodl (Austria); Britos (Uruguay); Penaranda (Columbia); Sema (Sweden); Success (Nigeria); Quina (Portugal U21) Gray (Luton);

Not giving it the biggun, cos it's probable that the other clubs you mention could also reel off a list of names but perhaps you should not use your lack of knowledge to make you think you are better than you are.

Anyway, good game Saturday, bad luck, I think we can probably call it quits now and forget any bogus rivalry going forward.

Your players have been excellent this season, but you don't want them to be playing too brilliantly or the top six will put you down in the dumps alongside Southampton and you don't want that!

A huge success at Malmo where he is still revered,
Took tiny Switzerland to heir first ever World cup and reached the last 16 plus qualification for European Nations Fina.
Guided Finland to their highest ever FIFA rankings.
Took Inter Milan to a EUFA Cup Final, only losing on penalties.
Saved Fulham from relegation and took them to a Europa Cup Final.
Took WBA to 10th in PL,their highest ever finish.
Came to Palace after the RdB fiasco and with us rock bottom P7 W0 D0 L7 and no goals with every pundit in the land saying were 100% certain to go down saved us.

If you are going to blame him solely for our home record this season then ergo he must also be solely responsible for our wins at Man City, Wolves, Fulham, Huddersfield, Leicester, Burnley and a draw at Man Utd.
Evn at Anfield where our two keepers were injured we scored three goals and gave them a fright.

Not a shabby record as a Manager.

Brilliant post. Watching us phaff about with the ball just going from side to side and backwards is sleep inducing and just like you say it seems that every other team is so much better than keeping the ball than us. After six years in the Prem I thought we would have sorted this out by now.

Very much like watching England when Roy was manager or was it the players who decided the set up and tactics?.

So why is our home record so abysmal or is it the players fault?

Yes they are a brilliant example of how to run a proper football club, if all the teams in this league were organised in the same way there wouldn't be a top six to ruin everything.

we have to realistic, we are where we deserve to be based on our performance to date. The home form is what counts and this year like the recent past we have been poor at best. We struggle to win at home and until we can correct this then we will always struggle in any league. Our inability to recruit decent players who seem to find this club toxic is down to SP and DF. Just look at teams like Bournemouth, Watford and Wolves, they clearly have the leadership skills and investors, that make ordinary teams better. We cannot keep using the excuse that we can't compete, whilst the latter maybe true and a top six spot may be a distant unrealistic dream there is no reason why we cannot be a stable mid table team. I personally think Roy has done a very decent job taking in to consideration the limited talent that we have at the Club. What is needed is a changes in Owner or Owners who have the necessary investment to invest in the Club and a Chairman and DOF who have the necessary expertise, skills and leadership to take us to the next level in the PL before it too late!

It is the manager's fault as it has lasted all season.

Roy has been unable to get us to open up consistently, and pick the lock of teams sitting back.

We are too negative in games we should be confident of winning at home.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Yes, some of our players have been making too many individual mistakes when playing at home, even more so in the direction of actually putting the ball in the net, our intentions and performances have been fairly consistent and that has been down to Mr Hodgson, he is not responsible for individual mistakes ..he would I'm sure rather they didn't do it. He will have to hope like the rest of us that they don't do it against Huddersfield ..we only need six more points!

The act of missing great scoring opportunities generally means the manager is doing a decent job.
