Wagner would be an excellent choice, Huddersfield played some great stuff, pressed hard and passed well, they just didn’t have the quality of players to score enough goals. When we played Huddersfield away I thought they were excellent, they had so many chances to score but just couldn’t hit a barn door. The passion he would bring to selhurst would be amazing!

Clearly there are those who see Wagner in a positive light. He did get Huddersfield promoted to the PL and kept them up in their first season when many expected them to be relegated. Conversely, there are those who might consider that Wagner signed 10 players in the summer and 1 in the January window and the current squad are all Wagner signings bar a couple and that they are certainties to go down. There might of course be extenuating circumstances, but whilst the relegation will not be whilst he is at the helm his name will be all over it and given the facts above, this could deter any PL Chairman from offering him a job.Time as ever will tell ! I'm not sure about Wagner. I really like how Lampard has got Derby playing although I'm not sure he's achieved enough to warrant the position. Sean Dyce, Howe and Benitez would be my candidates from the PL, but I don't imagine they'd see us as an upgrade. Wilder and Lampard from the championship. I'd like to stick with a British manager if possible though. It's a tricky one. Hopefully, the board are doing the ground work now so that we can get someone in early in the summer and start to build the project. Signings are a must and I'd prefer someone with the long term vision to invest in youth.

I was/am a big fan of Roy's but watching the team week in week out, something is going wrong and I do feel it is time for a change (end of season). His use/lack of subs is very frustrating and as was seen yesterday, caution is paramount even when we should have been throwing the barn door at it. This is only my opinion if you feel I am talking s****, that is your opinion.

I'm being highly presumptious but I believe we will stay up, accordingly Hodgson who took over when we were in a parlous position will have kept us up yet again. He has a contract to the end of the following season, so do you think there will be any inclination by the Board to instigate a change ? Edited by Willo (17 Mar 2019 9.13am)

I think its possible we will lose a lot of players in the summer. Wilf, AWB, Batman, Benteke, Mama, Guaita and possibly Luka. If Wagner comes in we will have half the Huddersfield squad to replace them and guanranteed relegation

Wagner would not be an upgrade, he has produced teams that do not score many goals, which is where we are now. Just don’t see him as a manager for us.

Edited by Willo (17 Mar 2019 9.13am) Definitely not. 17th is the business model and he's hitting that target. They know we're getting relegated eventually, it's very much a case of pocket as much cash as possible and get away with serving up s*** for as long as you can. Steve Parish's PR is f***ing brilliant I'll give him that: he's got a lot of the fanbase worshiping Croydon Roy to the point that they can say without any self awareness that he wasn't a completely s*** England manager and his career record overall is anything but mediocre. Doesn't mean I can't have my own ideas on what I believe would be the best course of action. Golden handshake and a thanks very much at the end of the season, a new more progressive manager appointed. Edit: if I had my way, anything but 3 points Vs Huddersfield and I'd sack him on the spot.
