There’s also no replays from now. Up to the 6th round there’s never any Prem league games fixtured so none to be rescheduled midweek.

We now have the quarter final which is again scheduled for a week off in the premier league on 16th March and 1 league game that might be rescheduled (Newcastle away) if we make the semi final.l on 6th April. We haven’t been stretched or tested in the slightest by this cup run. They just won’t get that rest in Dubai, La Manga or Portugal.

I may be reading this wrong but weren't we meant to be playing Spurs in their new greenhouse on the 16th/17th March?

Is the correct answer.

Spurs, their fans & to a degree, the FA, are not happy we won Y/day, as this means that spuds 'easy' 1st game in their new legobox on the 17th, will now not happen.

Shame on you Palace for winning a cup game & not obeying the greater force that is the FA/EPL & a 'top 6' team.

To me and of course the club, survival in the PL is all important, accordingly I don't give a jot about the FA Cup.

Perhaps if we were safe I might have a frisson of excitement about the cup but we are in a relegation battle and it is imperative we don't slip through that dreaded relegation trapdoor.

If we manage to reach relative safety and find ourselves in the semi-final I might start to dream about a trip to Wembley but at present I am concerned about our standing in the table and don't give two hoots about the cup.

Absolutely, Willo.

Apparently we're 'playing really well', are 'a good team' etc and yet? Only three points in it.

That is far too close for comfort for me and safety is what it's all about.

At the moment, the cup is a distraction.

end of.

I would be uneasy playing Swansea after seeing their young lad Dan James streak through the Brentford defence like Usain Bolt covering 84 yards in 8.48 seconds.
Unlawful methods would be required - would Luka be able to restrain himself?

Been thinking about this, I'd like us to win this, beating Man Utd in the final. Hoping Roy's comments about prioritising the league are just keeping our ambitions low key so we sneak in unnoticed.

Manchester United will win tonight, and then both City and Utd will avoid us and each other in the next round. Instead they'll meet in the semi, where Utd will win. We will be unspectacular but effective enough against whoever we meet en route. The hype will be the City/Utd semi, with the assumption that it will contain the overall winner. Man Utd pull off an impressive performance to win a 4:3 classic and bowl into the final full of confidence, where they under-estimate us. Wilf plays, Max plays and we win in extra time, hopefully Wickham with the winner from the bench.

Regardless of the cup, we will not go down.

James' move to Leeds on deadline day fell through at the 11th hour.

I’m not sure we’d ‘out sing’ them. They’d have about 5,000 or something in The Arfur. You’d probably hear Miiiiii for quite long periods while someone tries to chew through the segregating canvas.

Well if the organised singing section from the Grimsby & Spurs match is anything to go by, plus the added excitement of a quarter final against local rival, I think we probably would.

Most of them don’t have teeth so would stuggle to chew through.

Of course I want us to win games in every competition but at the present time the FA cup is of secondary importance to PL survival.

If we had attained a further 10 points and been safe then I would be far more excited about the FA Cup but in our present position I have no enthusiasm for it.
Each and every day I ponder about our chances of survival and show genuine concern, I certainly don't think about our prospects in the FA Cup.

Trouble is Willo we will eventually get relegated whether you like it or not. Football is about supporting your team and winning trophies. I agree modern football is all about the money, which basically highlights everything that is wrong with the modern game....including your mindset.

I agree that football is about supporting your team - I have been an avid supporter since the 60s and supported our team in all climes around the country so I do know what this is all about !

My mindset is about seeing my team playing at the top level of English football, seeing the top players and having packed stadiums.Nothing wrong about that ! I have no desire to see the days when we play in the lower leagues to half empty crowds - been there, done it !.I want my club to maintain it's status in the top division with all the kudos that brings.Survival over trophies for me - if we win some silverware along the way all the better.

I don’t think we will go down nor do I think progression in the cup will have an effect either way. We are currently playing well and creating chances even if we do miss most of them. Current form puts us mid table. My point is the cup is important to a team of Palaces size. We can win a cup. We will never win the premier league but we will at some point be relegated.

Millwall at home please. Weakest team left in the comp, local derby, would be a cracking atmosphere. It would be so satisfying to outplay and out sing them and to knock them out at this late stage.

No one wants those bafoons to have a day out at Wembley. Last time they were there, the chavs were fighting each other in the stadium. Complete laughing stock of a club, supported by lowlives who can’t behave, and revel in being hated by everyone else.

I feel sorry for Neil Harris for being associated with that club. He seems like a decent bloke.

Yeah, not sure you’ve ever out sung us. Even with your silly ultras.

Agree, you’d tear us a new arsehole on the pitch though. We’re dire at the moment.

Yes it’s as it always was. No top division league games fixtured until the 6th round, although it may have been the 5th round before.
