Wearisome brexit.

I give up with you as you're just a troll

Each to their own. You sound very important in your own right and I'm sure your strategic advice is much appreciated by those looking to use Brexit as an excuse to underachieve.

Bit rich accusing others of partisan views before shouting them down as moronic because their views differ from yours, but there you go. Great demonstration of your strategic thought ability...

No. It’s not each to their own in this particular instance.

A view is different to a fact. To state Brexit will not negatively any business in any capacity is a view, not a fact. Brexit will have a negative impact on some businesses, even if it’s only a tiny one. That is a fact. It is indisputable. A moron is someone who does not understand facts. Even more worrying when they are also running a business that employs others.

It does not require a strategic brain to understand that.

However it does require some grasp of reality.

You are also arguing around the point you made and not defending it. Not surprising because it’s impossible to defend. Objectivity is imperative in business. You would do well to remember that.

You're paraphrasing from a position of emotion. Not a good look from somebody whose career centres around strategic thinking. Brexit will affect business if it's allowed to. It's the responsibility of business owners and board members to create opportunity. That's my opinion, that's the example I gave.

I also said Brexit is a ready excuse for failure before saying that any failure I might suffer would be my own fault. Pretty objective.

You continue to slander: the last bastion of the defeated. Again, not a good.look for a self professed high flyer: something that's starting to look dubious.

Regarding in bold, do you give this advice from a position of experience? Are you a business owner yourself?

Or just one of those you wants to, but doesn't have the ability/bollocks to go it alone and so resent those you do?

I'd guess the latter. You're far too quick to find excuse for failure to succeed as a businessman.

Its just an easy scapegoat for them!
Wow

As a business owner, yes.

Quit dancing around the debate.

Your statement is simply not true. It’s an objective fact that businesses will be affected. No manner of posturing can distract from it. I’m yet to hear a credible response. Misinformation should not be the central pillar of a small business owner, especially if you’re having to take decisions that affect other people’s views, livelihoods and general understanding of such a complex issue.

Again, that is moronic. I’m free to use more direct language as a) there is literally no arguing against the fact I’ve presented, and b) this is a forum not a business meeting.

Sometimes being direct is required.

Sigh.

You can’t say there will be no impact then say you are contingency planning. If there will be no impact then what are you planning for?

And of course the timing is all just a big coincidence?

If the company was struggling for 5 years why pull the plug now?

Fact is Alot of struggling companies teetering on the edge, investors see a bleak outlook due to Brexit and pull out

Brexit is a factor whether you like it or not

I'm not sure that anyone will disagree but what I object to is where concern over the future after Brexit is a contributory factor but the media try and present it as the main reason for problems.

A prime example is Jaguar Land Rover who have made sizeable losses in the last year due primarily to this country falling out of love with diesels and losing a substantial part of their export market in China and have taken steps to mitigate those losses yet the remaincentric media have focussed on possible problems after Brexit as being the reasons

We've been down this road and their CEO said supply chain issues will hurt them costing around 1.5bn

At the end of the day Brexit doesn't help businesses does it? Where are stories saying Brexit is great and we're booming thanks to it? None that I've seen

I think I might start a T shirt printing business probably in two years time when the world hasn't ended and we are thriving.

The slogan will read "We told you so"

On the other hand I could also print one that said "Oops"

My point and others is that good business people will always find opportunities.

One more point

Is that good enough reason to leave the EU?

Are you high?

You're interpreting words that aren't there. Contingency planning? I didn't mentioned that.

As it happens we do have a robust continuity plan which ensures supply of services for all kinds of supply chain disruption.

I've addressed your points, but you continue to overlook what's actually been written. Instead of shouting moron as your 'debating position' please confirm whether you're a business owner, or a just a resentful wannabe sniping from the sidelines as I suspect.
