3 of the strikers that we are looking at are Niasse, Origi & Batshuayi I have been told by a reliable source that talks have taken place tonight in regards Origi and a move could happen not sure if it is permanent or loan.

My thoughts would be a loan with a view to making it permanent in the summer.

Moses is still very much on the agenda and Townsend is in talks over a new deal.

Sørloth should be gone within the next week or so on loan with an option to buy.

Well making a start clearing the decks with four departures.

Missed out on Defoe ( usual procrastination) and Solanke ,who will be fit to play in a week, has signed permanently for Bournemouth.Would surely have been worth a 6 month loan deal as we play Liverpool next (would not be eligible to play) and today we are in Cup action.

Are we going to see a replay of previous windows apart from the rather excellent window when BFS was allowed to have his say???

First, what is your actual evidence that we were ever even in for Defoe. Second, from what the club, and Warnock, have said about Liverpool things changed after a deal was agreed. Also, when the club said Solanke was injured and would not be able to come straight into the team, that has turned out to be true. So, 0 from 2 claims so far.

January 14: Ince, Dann, Ledley, Hennessey, Puncheon.

January 15: Mutch, Zaha, Souare, Anderson, Sanogo, Lee.

January 16: Adebayor.

January 17: Milivojovic, Van Aanholt, Schlupp, Sakho.

January 18: Sorloth, Rakip, Cavalieri, Jach.

Two excellent windows, one mixed, two poor.

Maybe not quite as bad as you make out. We clearly need a decent striker, and some midfield creativity, but let’s not make stuff up to make a point.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

I wonder whether the words "Crystal Palace will play Tottenham Hotspur" will focus any minds. We won't be getting 30 shots at goal against those.

So would the other 2. I'd be happy with all of them, they're all mobile and athletic strikers who did well in their few minutes when they played.

I would be inclined towards Batshuayi and Niasse more for the following reasons:

Batshuayi has played this autumn and has 7 goals ( 3 for Valencia, 4 for the national team), that means he comes in fully prepared and ready, even if it's just for a loan because his price is very high

Niase has not really played this autumn but would.come in very cheap at 7 millikn and we could have him long term (replacing an on-loan striker every 6 months isn't healthy)

Origi hasn't really played for Liverpool either and would only be abailable on loan as I know they're asking over 25 million, so he would fit neither of the situations above. But he is still a good player.

I do hope so.
Nice guy, but whoever brought this man in thinking he was premiership standard should have some serious questions to answer. A complete waste of money IMO.

In fact if we were a half decent championship side I would be concerned if we got him in. As said nice guy but not rated by me at all.
