Oh, is that all? Should be easy enough!

Ward is right back cover. Reidewald is cover for Luka, although Kouyate could possibly cover that position and as someone has said Souare is injured and out for a few weeks so I don’t think any of these three will be going anywhere.

If you analyse the squad we have adequate cover at goalkeeper all 4 defensive positions and central midfield. You could argue that Schlupp and Ayew could play out wide if there is an injury to Zaha or Townsend which leaves the attack which we all know is the problem, but given that both Wickham and now Benteke are back in full training the situation should improve. I think we can get away with two or possibly just one signing during this window but we do need a replacement for Sorloth. Personally I’d like to see Origi or Batshuyai and maybe the Brentford lad or the youngster from QPR and if I was to select out of those 4 I’d probably go Batshuyai on loan and put in a £15m bid for Maupay

Loads of strikers being linked with us now in the media - loaning out Sorloth has freed up a space too.

Ward on loan, are you crazy? who would play at right back if our currant right back get injured, correction, WHEN he gets injured, and don't tell me Kelly.

Couldn't agree more.

And on top of that, We don;t Just need an out and out goalscorer, we need someone who can contribute to the Team. All of our attacking players help in creating opportunities, even Benteke used to hold up play any brings others into the Game. Simply sticking a goal hanger up there, wont necessarily work as we will lose some of out ability to get it into those areas in the first place!

"It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

Well if the choice is any of the repeat suggestions and rumours on these boards I hope we don't get anyone in . The much recommended foreign misfits (Tosun ,Gabbiadini Niasse ect, ect) that we 'lost' to other clubs have been about as good as our own poor purchases

Wouldn't give houseroom to any of them . The same names have been coming up window after window and our rumour mill needs a refresh

Indeed. It's his raisin d'etre.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Firstly, the out and out goalscorer is all we need and yes, they do exist. Being a striker or goalscorer is a job, within a football team, and I am referring more to the fact we have consistently signed 'target men' in recent years such as Wickham, Sorloth, Benteke etc and have let go at least two 'out and out' strikers (Murray,Gayle). A player in this mould, of higher quality if possible, is what we need.

Secondly, I neither agree with nor understand your point about needing someone 'who can contribute to the team'. I have consistently watched what I would deem a team full of more then competent footballers perform well enough this season often without an end product. As you childishly put it, I actually think a 'goal hanger' would do us well. We don't have anyone else at the moment who would identify putting the ball in the back of the net as their main responsibility on the pitch, which ironically wins games no matter the level of performance. Also, it might seem like a radical thought, but I would consider somebody who scores goals as contributing to the team. We currently have a runner in Ayew and a target man in CB. Neither look to be categorised as 'goalscorers' now or in the near future

Didn't play fantastically Saturday, but a second goal, which we had chances to get, could have seen us through to 3 massive points.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Ok as the op I’ll admit I got it slightly wrong with Lucas Perri joining but at least now I can go from now until a week Friday morning when I wake up knowing that I called it and we only brought one player in

According to Parish, there will be 1 or 2 more.

I am guessing Sako or Bolasie is one of them.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Well I hate to say this but it turns out I was pretty much correct with my spoiler alert back on January 3, I know some of you will say I was/am wrong but if you think about it we’ve loaned a gk from São Paulo who will play about as much as cavalieri did last season and bakary sako who pretty much moved to wba on loan for half a season so to sum up it’s turned out as predicted
