Our defence is the only reason we aren't in the bottom three but you won't win many games if you can't score.

Roy saying that Benteke will be like a new signing if he gets fit tells you how this transfer window will go.

I love to be wrong when it comes to Palace my negativity but we have seen this scenario in several previous windows. Lots of players linked, deals falling through and then we make a last minute signing of someone totally underwhelming.
I have already stated my theory that the owners wish to spend no more real money because they want to put the club up for sale after the new stand is built.

Once again I hope to be wrong.

I wasn't having a go, but in all honesty any player we can afford to attract will be no better then a Benteke or Wickham at their best and nobody has a clue how they will perform in the coming months ..which would be exactly the same as bringing in another forward and then ..hoping, I'd personally rather stick with who we know and save money.

Strikers go on runs. For Swansea he scored 8of his 11 goals last season between end of December and beginning of April. Let’s hope this is a start of a similar purple patch!

So whats wrong with living in Swansea?I live there & its a very pleasant place to live especially during the summer with loads of stunning beaches in the area!

I've been to Belfast twice & I would much prefer to live in Swansea than there! Not too long ago there were innocent people getting killed in Belfast due to religion & being run by the English!Even excluding that Belfast is a s***hole!

What a f***ing w***er you are!

I've spent a good chunk of time working in both areas and as a neutral can confirm they're both (mostly) toilets.

People from both have been friendly and welcoming in my experience, let's not challenge that observation by slinging insults.

Lets not go off the topic & everybody is entitled to their own opinions but if you have stayed in Swansea for a longtime please elaborate more on why it is such a terrible place to live & which areas did you go to?

Don't get me wrong all places have nice & not so nice areas & good & bad points about living there but to say most of Swansea is toilet shows you are either lying or your taste of places is not as good as your taste in football teams!

You're absolutely correct. I had it the wrong way around regarding the area/people. Swansea is a lovely place...

Your humour is nearly as bad as your taste in places!

It doesn't surprise me you couldn't reply to my question & elaborate on your reasons for your conclusion of Swansea because you are speaking bollocks & I doubt you have even been here or if you have then it was a flying visit to the Liberty Stadium!

Yes mate & I go there loads during the summer months especially Oxwich Bay.

It sounds like I work for the Swansea Tourist Board but i'm just defending the place due to some idiots remarks on the area!

Unbelievable first touch against Cardiff if I remember right, ended up missing the cross.

The guy has clearly got ability, that is what his 2nd or 3rd start as a striker?

He has been a scapegoat at times without having a fair crack of the whip. He has also been below par at times but confidence is a massive issue. He has a good shot on him but has often failed to pull the trigger. Hopefully now he can relax a bit and go on to score a couple more.

Good goal for him and for the club.
