Company's are always looking for people in their security and Health and Safety depts. Most that I have worked with have come form the police force. Good luck.

Be a Private Security Consultant and charge a fortune to rich people for advising them on securing their homes. Advertise in posh areas. Offer a guarantee against burglaries. Then get a team of security system installers and get them to fit the recommended kit. You could drum up business by throwing bricks through people's windows and then putting a Private Security Consultant business card through their door the next day. They're bound to call you.

Be a politician ... if you can fathom out what they actually do please let us know. But they get good money and all expenses generously reimbursed for doing whatever it is.

Well yesterday I was informed by the Metropolitan Police that after 18 years service they are going to medically retire me with my last working day being the 4th January 2019... I'm 40 and have no f***ing idea what to do!!... Can anyone give me a job???!! Uber!

That would not be my recommendation from a strict employability perspective. Move straight into whatever you can get, work for B&Q or something. You can't afford a gap in your CV. When you are in work, then look to start stepping up the ladder. I do think studying could be good, gives you a rationale for having a relatively basic job - if that is what you end up with - because you need the time for study. Just don't look like someone that fell out of the system for a while, it will make you appear to be a risk to any potential employer. They like predictability and reliability. Anyone that has had a single track job for a long time already represents a concern - can they transition into a different world. Don't feed those fears. Hope this helps. Could not disagree more with this. Don’t be a slave to your CV, it’s a piece of paper at the end of the day. You don’t often get the chance for a break, so take some time out, have some relaxation time, then start to do some research on what you’d like to do. Choose the best option but don’t be afraid to change if it’s not panning out as you expected. Good luck!

Cheaper than anyone else and wasnt warboys a black cab driver Ha ha, warboys? That was one incident of rape in over 350 years of hackney carriage driving, uber had 142 sex attacks in london last year alone, including lots of rapes, the guy outside buckingham palace attacking british police officers with a massive sword , and cleared yesterday, was uber driver, uber lost case in high court yesterday, not wanting to pay minimum wage or sickpay to drivers, or partners, the list is endless, but cheaper they are for now, but the cost is rising, watch this space, and enjoy your ride, still over 1000 drivers unchecked by tfl driving for these clowns, fake licences, the lot, but the CONservatives are complicit with tfl in the cover up, tfl are trying to contact the 1000 fake licencees to ask them to submit genuine details,go to taxileaks if you want to know about uber, all there in black and white!
