Blimey,

These posts are becoming so negative it is almost if we have no chance of winning again this season, which is simply not the case.

Mark my words,a win at last by at least two goals,a turning point in our abysmal season to date!!

Well...

Burnley fell behind to a jammy goal and have never been great at chasing a game. It's hard to judge them. Neither side is naturally dominant so it'll likely be cagey.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

We HAVE to score first...if we don't and they do then they'll stick everyman and his dog behind the ball..which we don't seem to be able to break down. Score early and we'll be fine...the longer this game goes at nil nil it will get seriously nervy...and god forbid we go 1 down....

Most optimistic can see how we could easily lose this one. The most pessimistic of us (me) can see how we could win. What team will turn up? Either team could get a lucky goal, one incident could decide the final result. We score first we could get two or three, same for them.

Important to say however, that the result, whatever it is, will not decide our season. Please note doommongers/fantasists on this site.

We have scored a meagre 2 goals at Selhurst in our 6 home games, both against Arsenal, and both penalties. So, not a single goal from open play.

I keep thinking that at some point those near misses will start going in. But, we haven't even managed to break down Southampton, Newcastle or Wolves, so, I'd go for a miserable 0-0 ( and save the goals for next Tuesday!)

The posts are negative because the stats don't lie.
50 home league losses since we got promoted.
I'm the same as you in wanting us to win but you asked for a prediction.

Absolutely right.

Alas, quite understandably, there are a lot of glumbuckets on here and the mindset of gloom and doom will continue unless we reverse our fortunes.

Supporters will be unable to bridle their tongues if we succumb to a defeat or merely attain a bore draw against Burnley and belches of abuse and torrents of bile will fill the air around 'Selhurst' with Hodgson and Parish very much in the firing line.

I can't see us winning either The only hope is that Burnley score an own goal to put us 1 up otherwise we'll need to keep a clean sheet to get anything out of this game.

I think we'll lose by a single goal in the last 10 minutes.

I think Kouyate and Meyer will be key on Saturday. Kouyate looks like he has goals in him and isn't afraid to shoot on sight and he is also our biggest physical presence in midfield, while Meyer showed against Man Utd that given an attacking role he can drive at defences and take players on and win free-kicks. Personally I think we look like we're turning a corner after a disappointing start to the season in which we look like we've struggled to get going - typified by Luka's poor early season form.

Close, but I think we'll edge it 2-1 with goals from Wilf and Kouyate.

Certainly not an impressive goalscoring record, averaging about 1 in 40 games for Anderlecht and about 1 in 10 for W.Ham but he has played as a defensive midfielder. His height could be invaluable defending set-pieces and balls into the box.

Must get at least a draw.

I would, however, bite your arm off for a scrappy 1-0 with a terrible ref performance seeing us play against 9 and Burnley having 3 goals wrongly disallowed

They are absolutely pony this mob. Their spark from last season is gone and the defence is a sieve. Even then we outplayed them both games last season and created plenty, granted with Cabaye there to control our build up and Benteke playing others in. Only a win is good enough this weekend for me after our start to the season. Enough of the good but fruitless performances, it's about time we put in a dominant performance and take our chances. Same team as ManYoo for me, get Meyer on the ball coming inside as much as possible

2-0 the Palace
