Defoe is 36 years old, doesn’t get a sniff of a game for Bournemouth.

Why do you think he isn’t playing anymore? Work it out.

I don't believe that at this stage of his career he is the answer to our woes.
But he would probably be a 'Free' so might be attractive to the club !!!!

Hodgson does like his target man, the focus of the attack.Maybe they will consider Chris Wood of Burnley.

Reliance upon other teams being worse than we our will come back to bit us in the backside - who remembers Oldham?

Roy was apparently satisfied with our performance yesterday even though we lost, yet again.
Two tough games ahead and only a true optimist would think even one point is possible.
Worrying times,no striker until Benteke possibly returns in January.
Yet another relegation battle beckons so nothing different to past years and I sincerely hope this is not the season our luck finally runs out.

Very poor PL this season - at least in the lower half. Cardiff won't stay up, nor will Huddersfield, so we are fighting with Fulham, Newcastle, Burley and Southampton to avoid the other spot. Fulham could change manager, shore up their defence and win a few as their forwards are OK. Newcastle don't concede many so could pick up points. Burnley may well pick up too, so we really need to cut out the defensive errors (esp from Sakho) that keep costing us, get in someone who can score (easy!) and stop dropping points against the teams round us (Newcastle and Southampton already). Burnley at home in a few weeks is a must-win.

I don't think so. Not this time.
Fulham brought in 16 new players in the summer. They've just become adjusted. It's up for them from now on.
Newcastle seem to be getting back on track, they have a good squad.

Honestly, I don't think a ressurgence of Cardiff or Huddersfield is impossible.

Burnley and Saints won't go down easily.

So it's gonna be really tight for Palace. No way we finish in top 14. We're not better than any of Everton, Leicester, Bournemouth, Watford, Wolves or West Ham.

3 of Cardiff, Huddersfield, Fulham, Newcastle, Saints, Burnley, Palace and Brighton will go down. It's gonna be really tough to stay up with no fire power to score goals up front

Really tight for Palace? Don’t you mean us?! Only kidding, I disagreed on any given day we are better than Watford, West Ham, Bournemouth and Wolves.
‘Fulham bought 16 new players in the summer’, so what? Who knows if they will come good? It’s not football manager, there is a lot more to success than buying a bunch of mercenaries and expecting them to gel/ care.
We are an established premier league team now, we always start slowly (except for the fa cup season) we have proven quality in our team and most of our players seem to love playing for us.
We do need a striker but then so do loads of teams in the league.

Fulham's attacking players have already come good (Schurrle, Mitrovic, Vietto). They just need to resolve their defensive issues.

We can't be better than Watford, West Ham, Bournemouth and Wolves if we don't have players like Roberto Pereyra, Andre Gray, Deulofeu, Felipe Andreson, Arnautovic, Yarmolenko, Michail Antonio, Chicharito, Lanzini, Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser, Josh King, Stanislas, Raul Jimenez, Cavaleiro, Adama Traore who contribute to scoring every 2 games or so.

For us it's just Zaha up front and some decent defenders and midfielders.

Lol half the above aren’t that great, Traore? Give me a break,, chicharito???? Just Zaha? Just the best player outside the top 6 you mean!
We have a good team that just need some form and a striker. We played Watford and wolves off the park btw.

Fulham have managed to gift the Cloggers a TFM own goal. They look absolute toilet but are consideribg getting rid of Jokanovic by the looks of it.

So if the result stays the same,Fulham go bottom with Huddersfield and Newcastle now only two points behind us.
With our next two fixtures, not so sure that one of those sides won't leapfrog us???

Jokanovic did get them promotion and they looked an attractive side in the Championship.I suspect not many would have considered them struggling at this juncture.Don't think many would have considered them relegation candidates.

Not kept a clean sheet, not cut adrift and plenty of games to go but having spent nearly £100 Mill on transfers in pre-season I suspect the club will feel they should not be in this position at this stage and might feel a change is necessary to arrest the slde.Or maybe they feel that Jokanovic is deserving of more time.

Reality check: We are 2-1-5 against teams outside the top 6. 0-1-2 against the top 6, likely to be 0-1-4 in two weeks.

No matter how good we think we are on paper, or celebrate a moral victory in getting 1 point from Arsenal, we are objectively sh-t so far this season.

Hopefully we will turn it around, but most likely we are in yet another relegation battle down to the last week or two of the season.

Given we have top talent like Zaha and AWB, there's no excuse to go through this same drama every year. It's a waste of Zaha's prime years.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle
