First things first. I don't sit downstairs, never have done. Always been upper (so to speak). Lots of mates who do sit in block E though and have been there since the start, madly loyal, go to lots of away games, have been know to join the Sing-a-Long with HF now and again. So now we have a bunch of hoodie youths who have thrown their toys out of their prams and a wobbly along with it. So Parish gives in for the sake of few hundred (if that) choir boys and girls. If they really supported the club as me and my mates do then they would turn up anyway. Parish is saying B*ll*cks to those who have spent a lifetime and a fortune supporting the club. If it were any other "business" they would up sticks and take their money elsewhere. I think the time has come for post match protests. If a few hundred can persuade Parish one way then surely a few thousand can make him change his mind
I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB! |

Perhaps a crowd vote just before kickoff would change Steve Parish's mind. Everybody against it stand up, everybody for it sit down. At least it would be good to see the HC (Holmesdale Choirboys)obeying stadium rules and sitting down for once.

All I know is I have had the same seat since they built the Holmesdale, haven’t paid for many many years and have two more to go. I am told it was a Simon Jordan initiative when he was borassic. But you said 1995? SJ didn't come in until 1999 when Goldberg left.

It seems I'm going against the grain here but to be honest I couldn't care less if people have to move seats, I just want our kick ass atmosphere back. Nobody owns the seats they sit in and if you are a real fan you won't care where you sit.

Nobody owns the seats they sit in and if you are a real fan you won't care where you sit. Unless you’re the HF of course. Then you literally stop supporting and divide an entire fan base on the basis of where you sit. I’m glad you’re only concerned about the “kick ass atmosphere” at the expense of other fans wishes. But just argue that and own it. Stop using the “nobody owns the seat” nonsense, it’s desperate. There is technicality & then there is decency, they are 2 completely different things. The HF own an equal amount of sweet f*** all as anyone else does. The difference between the 2 parties concerned is that, Block E don’t attempt to claim superiority over any other Palace fans. The HF and it’s fan boys can pretend this isn’t what they’re doing all they want, but it’s precisely what they have done and will continue to do as this saga continues. I got a brilliant view 29 rows behind the penalty spot and will definitely natter where my next seat will be next season. I been offered 50% off my season ticket anywhere in the ground subject to availability and Gold membership. HF will get first choice of seats what's left we get.

And the ones who don't kick up such a fuss just get shafted. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Oct 2018 6.54pm)

Try sitting somewhere else and stop bithching like a girl, you might just enjoy it.

What gets me fella is why the thousands of fans who miss the atmosphere so much, don't stop bitching and create their own atmosphere. why do you need a hundred hoodies to help. You might just enjoy it.
