Bruno might of been scared but AJ wouldn't have been.

Like all boxers, Bruno was probably just wary of his opponents punch power rather than having a dearth of intestinal fortitude.

One boxer who showed great grit and no lack of bravery was Richard Dunn whom I remember being floored 5 times by Muhammad Ali - just kept getting off the canvas and showing the heart of a lion before he was final stopped in the 5th round.

Easy for you to say. Even Larry Holmes had that a this was not such a good idea look on his face after one round.

Hrolf The Ganger I can tell you have never been around boxing or know any because what you are saying is complete rubbish.

AJ is a top fighter his problem is wrong training team if he fixed this he would be destroying people.

You can't compare past stars it was a different game back then.

To also claim Fury is doing it to cash in is more rubbish fighters don't just go well im not ready i will do this anyway doesn't matter if I lose (The guy is the true champ you have to take opportunities in this game)

If you read Tyson's book you will understand why his boxing went rapidly down hill. You only need to see the Douglas fight compard to previous fights to see how his ring demeanor had changed and his performance was declining. There is no comparison between the early and declining Tyson.
AJ looked awkward and nervous against Povetkin. He would have been blasted out early against prime Tyson. I'm not sure why you think boxing has improved so much recently. There has been no great heavyweight since Lennox Lewis. If he and Tyson were around now and in shape, they would dominate.

So basically you're saying that as long as Tyson didn't go off the rails and lose his focus he'd have never lost a fight. I just don't go along with that, I accept that he had lot of personal issues and obviously, he went to jail and was never the same fighter after, but I just think that's a convenient excuse, a fighter like Tyson was always going to come unstuck eventually, his explosive style was always going to be found out. If he had beaten Douglas, Holyfield was his next opponent and I think Holyfield would completely school him.

AJ has developed into a great all round boxer, he has great power but also good hand speed, decent defence and is a good athlete. Would Tyson beat him over 12 rounds? Doubt it

Ha ha another expert.
So you don't think boxers fight for money? Stop it.

So you question AJ trainers? You could do better I suppose.
Joshua is a fine physical specimen with a knock out punch but he is no great boxer.
He ain't beating a prime Tyson, Ali, Lewis, Klitschko(either)in any era, to name a few.

Everyone loses eventually unless they retire first. I'd say that Lewis could have beaten Tyson on a good night and Holyfield was good but his miraculous move from cruiser to heavyweight without an ounce of fat on him, coupled with is a rapid loss of hair makes me suspicious that all was not natural about him. I'd take Tyson to beat him with proper trainers and in shape. The guys he had in his corner in his meltdown years were clueless. They were his pals. Tyson's training went to s***. No wonder he looked so bad against Douglas. No head movement greatly reduced aggression and a lack of desire.

We will never know what would have happened but please don;t put AJ in the same bracket. He has miles to go.

Fury is the 'true champ'?

Absolute nonsense.

That Ped loony is the B side to Wilder and chose to use the Joshua fight to announce theirs....that's how second class he is.

He's going to lose to Wilder and blame it on coming back too soon....which is entirely his own decision.

Tyson is all about the money now and can't be bothered to wait around and fight his way to what he was and get a legitimate world title chance.....So he takes on Wilder now for the cash.

Holyfield on peds.....probably....Na definitely..mind you we know that Tyson was....they all were.

Holyfield was the better of the two.....he proved that.

Maybe the early Tyson could have beaten him....but to be honest I think the result would have been the same....Holyfield had one hell of a chin and always traded back.

I never said they don't fight for money but they wont go into a fight like you are saying get pay out and that is all they care about.

I never said I would be better trainer from what I have seen and speaking with people that have been in the game a long time even been champs say his training team is wrong he is not progressing as he should be plus he has bulked up to much you dont't need all these fancy muscles thats for bodybuilders.

Fury was never beaten so he is the true champ what is so hard to believe about that and notice how AJ has been ducking him because Hearn knows he could end this AJ run.

Wilder vs Fury is the hottest fight planned otherwise they wouldn't book it if their was no interest plus Wilder knows he beats him he can use the title he is true champ.

You are just another typical bloke who dont have a clue about boxing it's so laughable people that have never had anything to do with the game how they really dont have a clue.

Everyone has an opinion about boxing and just because one might have been around it that does not make one right. For my evidence, I present Alan Shearer. Great striker. Talks bollocks 50% of the time.

Fury is the linear champion but he will be nowhere near his best to fight Wilder. Unless Wilder is a lot worse than we think, Fury will probably get knocked out. If he goes the distance, he will not be allowed to win. He must know this himself, so money is his main objective.

He certainly confessed to the 'piss bag' for recreational drugs. Knowing what I do about training, it is hard to imagine that a guy at 20 looked that way without a little help.
I liked Holyfield but he lost to Bowe twice, Lewis, Moorer at the top of his game and only beat old Larry Holmes on points. A good durable fighter but not a great. I make Tyson the winner at his best but he already had serious issues when they fought. When Tyson fought Lewis, it had been 16 years since he first won the title.

Let's not forget that Holyfield was really a cruiser....those Bowe fights were great but Bowe was just too big....Holyfield was at a large disadvantage against the best of the biggest.

Lewis was a similar story for him.

But at his size or a bit bigger he was something else.....He revenged the Moorer defeat and he had apparent heart issues at the time of the loss.
