That's how Jordan ran it, and as I recall, it was even worse!

Perhaps he tried to do it on the cheap.

Oh no, perish the thought.

I've stopping eating at Selhurst as the catering is so bad. The burgers are shocking in the main stand. A dry cardboard burger in 2 rock hard Frisbees. Even the kids won't eat them. I've been invited to games at Chelsea and Brentford in the last few weeks and the food is so much better. Nice juicy burgers LOL!
Plus our bar is out of Palace Ale or the taps not working at least 50% of the time.
It does annoy me . . .I've 3 season tickets (myself & kids), I (and others probably) would spend the money if the product was good . . the club would make a little more money which would hopefully increase profits, thus we could maybe buy better players and the club get stronger.
Get the little things right and the bigger things become easier!

Plus, of course, you lose loyalty points if you can't get the food you want, don't you?

Myself and my son have also stopped now. Last home game was final straw. Went into the fanzone for a Palace Ale hotdog and a panini (I know!) to be told neither were available. Went into the Lower Holmesdale and noticed a reduction in what was available. The hotdog my son got was a disgrace, he tweeted a picture to SP, didn't get a reply. The chips were cold and the new cartons they come in don't fit under the ketchup dispensers.
I know some posters on here aren't bothered by the s*** food but we treat the match as a day out, usually spending £15-£20 on food and drink per game. We are no longer going to spend this but I suppose this is small fry to a PL Club but it wouldn't be if everyone did the same. Although the service is poor I do not blame the staff as they are probably on minimum wage (at best) and have no proper training. The club really need to get to grips with this.

My kids can only bring in unopened bottles of water, but when I buy one from the stalls, they insist on opening them - work that out.
Would be nice if the bottles were actually put into the fridges too.

I resent the fact that if you buy a coffee in the Whitehorse Sainbury's or in the nearby cafe (in either of which both the coffee and the service are way superior to what you get in the ground), you're not allowed to take it into the ground - otherwise the Club would be deprived of its ill-gotten profit. How petty is that?

CPFC2010 (when they took over) were totally committed to fans on matchdays.
They set up Fans Forums, which met every month at SP, to discuss, Catering, ticketing, merchandise, etc.

So the only feedback the club gets now is reading forums, twitter, or actually listening to customers on matchdays ( the staff obviously don't give a 5hlt).

Big big shame, because these forums that met at SP had huge potential, and in the initial year or so, proved to be productive.

So sad to see it all unravelling,...again.

Our kids bring in what they and mum and dad like (No searches for the kids) Not too keen on wearing the massive parkas on sunny days though....

At the Southampton match the food outlet on the Upper holmesdale concourse were selling 12 inch rollover hot dogs in a six inch roll. Won't be buying them again. I agree with the majority of posts on this subject The standard of the food served is very poor and not value for the money you have to pay.

I'm surprised our American investors have done nothing about this. US sports are all about the entire match day experience - with an emphasis on readily available food and drink.
At Palace you can barely get a drink and the food is terrible. I noticed after matches if you buy anything they often give you stuff free to get rid of it. Trouble is no-one really wants the food.
Is genuinely a shame.

All that Fan's Forum mullarkey was just temporary lip service as Parish and Co were new, and they wanted to be seen as caring, men of the people.

The blokes background is in PR.

Remember the launch of the new stadium in Crystal Palace Park ?

Really wouldn't surprise me if the new main stand turns out to be cobblers. I expect some sort of objection to come out of the woodwork on that soon, with SP claiming to be mortified.
