Will any of their clubs take Riedewald? Hopefully not. Big future for Jairo with us next year he will be badly needed when the injuries mount up especially. Actually a good partner for Kouyate Maca Luka. Hope he has stuck up for himself as has been reported. He was the original 'wunderkind' with Ajax and has played at international level, If he ditches us when we most need him it is tough titty we deserved it.

I prefer to check out the fans' forums on players we are interested in than the football writers who will have seen nothing near as much of them. The Swansea fans can't wait to get Jordan Ayew out of the door, which is troubling, particularly as they are now a Championship club and you'd think if he was half-decent he'd fire in the promotion goals. In fact they see far more exited about the prospect of signing our JR, a player they've surely hardly ever seen. As for West Ham and CK they like the first half of his time there, but some say he's been useless and lazy the last two seasons. I agree on Kouyate. I thought the last 2 visits to Selhurst he was anonymous and the same on tv. But that’s Roy’s expertise. On the training field and taking no sh1t, especially with several options and Luka in charge on the field. On Jordan Ayew. If it’s attitude then there is an issue but the club was being run expecting the championship and got it. Since Gary Monk it’s been a circus joke. If there’s complaints on his ability or performances then I trust Roy here. There WILL be a system and instructions that will work and it will be worked on in training. Their professional lives will have the stresses of how they’re going to stay up removed with a methodical plan they have to follow and when they all do it will work. Remember the cohesive chasing players down v Leicester and West Brom etc last season. We’ll be absolutely fine! Edited by Rudi Hedman (02 Aug 2018 11.45am)

I’m not so sure as you we need him. 3 def mids there and Puncheon plus Meyer can drop deep and perform at the highest level as well. He may get a run out but saying it’s going to be a big future with us next year if Roy hasn’t picked him much at all and is willing to let him go is stretching it a bit tbf. Unless of course he raises his game in training by about 30% pretty sharpish after refusing a step down to championship Swansea.

If we do sign ayew who Palace have tried to get before it shows how poor our setup at the club really is when it comes to scouting talent. so many players in europe about but we either do not know about them or not willing to take the risk. a loan swap each way is the only out come i would settle for for ayew and ried.

I can’t see how we aren’t aware of forward players in Europe now. Stats and rumour and agent skullduggery etc highlight any decent players out there creating and scoring goals. I think you’re probably more correct in the risk factor and Swansea willing to take Riedewald so the signing of Ayew fits in with the financial rules and we have a balanced squad of just about enough in midfield and further forward rather than unbalanced either way. Hasn't pulled up trees but you seemed to ignore my comment about greedy agent, unless he has changed agent why would we waste our time with a money grabber who moves the goalposts at the last minute?

Or just step on the ego and pay the agent Hmmm! Like Niasse’s agent who, allegedly according to both Everton and Palace, asked for an extra payment of ca. 400k for himself after the deal had been agreed by all parties. And that was at the last minute. Yes, much better to give in to last minute blackmail...
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

We shouldn’t have gotten ourselves in that predicament but I’d agree we swerve that option or that agent again unless the agent is made aware that any other liberties tried and we cancel the deal.
