Plan was clearly to frustrate them and take the sting out of the game, but one bit of f***ing around at the back has completely changed the complexion of the game. We've got to come out and swarm all over them in the second half.

Total and utter rubbish by RLC over-playing and getting caught in possession when he should just be clearing the ball up field.Gifted Stoke a darned goal. Hodgson must be fuming just like I am.

I know it sounds spineless but if it stays this way (which it probably will ) I bloody hope other results suit us , looking slightly on the beach here

Hennessey had no chance. The freekick took a wicked deflection. Couple of players not playing to the standard of last week but Stokes defenders may tire in the second half. If Hennessey had picked up the first bad back pass to him would it have been a red card?

A fairly scrappy game in which Stoke are rather lucky to be 1-0 up. 0-0 seems a truer reflection of the game. We clearly have more quality on the ball, but we are creating our own problems at the back by trying to be too clever. Sometimes that is when it is good to have a target man like Bentenke up top as defenders feel more confident about lumping it forward. Not sure why Kelly is on, as he has never covered himself in glory when coming off the bench. I think we might see Tekkers on the hour if things don't change.

If I was a Stoke supporter I'd still be terrified of losing this, they are terrible. If we get back in to this quickly I can see the crowd and Stoke team choking under the pressure.

Whilst it was clearly not Hennesey's fault and solely down to RLC we do seem to concede a lot of goals from free kicks in similar positions although not this season i don't think. Would like to see some stats on goals conceded from free kicks by all teams.
