Maybe Wilf's appearance on Goals on Sunday has had an effect, especially as the word "agenda" has been used. Sky seem to be quite supportive of Wilf.

Kevin Kilbane was very forceful in his representations against Wilf. They were ill thought out, unnecessary, aggressive and biased. Sadly, the sympathy I had for him because of the abuse he got over his daughter has somewhat diminished. he is on prime time Television and his ridiculous views have a negative affect on Wilf's career. I hope he is dropped like the vulgar Carragher.

Unfortunately not everyone sees Wilf in the same light as diehard Palace fans do and I don't really see anything wrong with Kilbane's comments as they were his honestly held views. He was a pundit on national television and was asked a specific question so how can his comments be deemed "unnecessary" when all he did was answer the question and when all is said and done were his comments biased or is it your own view that's biased

I think (I don't know) that the problem the pundits have is taht they probably only see at most some extended highlights of a game. If so, it would make sense to have a few more but they watch a whole game so they can make proper considered analysis

Still feel as if there is somewhat a reluctance, by a few, to admit the truth though. Charlie Nicholas over the weekend took the line “yeah we all know he dives a lot but this time it was a penalty”. To accuse someone of prolific diving in that manor shouldn’t be something you can just loosely throw out there, without any scrutiny. You’re tarring an individuals reputation & character. If these so called experts were asked to actually bring some video footage as evidence to support their rash claims, they’d struggle to have much of a case. It certainly wouldn’t be as definitive a case as they portray. It’s scary how easily people are lead by heresay. Especially when it seems pundits/journalists are already towing a certain line before the analysis is even released to the public. Media in all sectors really should be held to account a lot more than they are. Edited by Mstrobez (23 Apr 2018 1.40pm)

From what I can remember the whole panel are at the BBC for all of the games live. Which makes it even worse as they all would've been watching us, rather than watching several games at the same time.

As much as I love wilf, the problem is that almost every time he gets tackled and ends up on the floor, even if it's not a foul, he sits there waving his arms about claiming he wad fouled. The example on saturday, when the general sense of opinion seems to be that he stumbled for the first penalty claim, he still appealed for the penalty, despite (apparently) telling the defender after the game that it wasn't a penalty. He then spends half the game arguing with opponents. Yes, I know He gets fouled a hell of a lot and gets targeted. But he's our match winner, so he's going to. I just wish sometimes he'd just get up and get on with the game. Edited by spartakev2 (23 Apr 2018 3.36pm)
