A genuine transition from development squad to first team player/squad. He will only get better. Lets hope that either Kirby or Daly are good enough to make the transition when required....as I think they are the next cabs off the rank.

He is much more of a modern fullback than Ward and I think there is real value in having AWB as our first choice RB next season and releasing Ward, who's contract is up.

Clearly he should be our first choice right back but I wish he didn’t (need to) go to ground as easily. He’s young so will learn but better players will sus him out on this.

And spend a fortune signing a replacement back up? Doesn’t make sense to me when we have award here already. A tried and tested PL right back and excellent professional.

Totally agree with this, AMB has all the attributes a modern day fullback needs. As mentioned many times previously Ward is not quick enough & doesn't have the offensive qualities needed for the modern game. AMB should be our 1st choice right back next season although I would be happy if Ward stayed as back up!
