Amusing presser just now. Apparently only the three of them were involved and apparently they've never done it before. Bollocks. Made it clear they were in the s***, though, but how much s*** and how smelly still to be decided. Edited by chateauferret (27 Mar 2018 6.39pm)

Lehman is guilty as sin. How he can still stay in the role of head coach is a joke. What was he doing during the leadership group meeting? Gone to the bogs to knock one out at how impressive his team is...so missed the discussion is the only plausible explanation!

I think Warner and Smith will get one year bans from CA, Bancroft 6 months or so and Lehman will resign after the last test in SA. He's blatantly in on it but it gives them a chance to draw the series and then start again with a fresh setup.

There will have to be fundamental reform here, root (sorry) and branch. A complete re-brand of Aussie cricket rid of any cheating sledging tampering all the rest of it. Just think they were 'on strike' just a short while ago, wonder what the employers are thinking now.

If they are banned by CA they will just go off round the world as 20/20 mercenaries and earn a fortune in the process. The media are claiming that Lehmann didn't know anything about the cheating but apart from sending the twelfth man out to talk to Bancroft one has to wonder why the so called leadership group now apparently only consisted of two people

It's funny how this filmed incident with Bancroft putting sugar in his pocket during the 2018 ashes has only just come to light. Who filmed this, was it Aussie telly or a private individual. Why wasn't it bought to the attention of the umpires during the match and why wasn't it reported appropriate authorities.

Possibly someone has been going over the original film to see if anything was missed

Smith and Warner banned for twelve months and both excluded from the IPL as well. I'm still sure that someone else was involved as Smith wouldn't say that it had been discussed with the leadership group if that was only one person

That was a bit harsh on Du Plessis who was polishing one side of the ball with saliva which is allowable. However the mint in his mouth was an 'artificial substance' introduction of which not allowed.

Our T20 blast doesn't pay big bucks and those two have never previously been keen to play in pakistan or Bangladesh etc. That leaves about a month in the CPL and a few weeks in NZ, if they're lucky.
