I mention Midlands' observation earlier in this thread that jealousy rather than respect regarding success and wealth seem sadly to be commonplace in the UK. However in the case of Simon Jordan, I can't help remembering one of the administration meetings in 2010 when the man himself, sitting a couple of rows in front of me, shouted and harangued administrator Brendan Guilfoyle that he would be ruined and impoverished by the apparent decisions. Eight years later he turns up in Croydon driving a Maserati and wearing a £100,000 watch. Ironic?
