Not such an idiotic post seeing as we're not expected to beat Moanure(Sky wouldn't allow it anyway)

Play Diego in goal & stick shed loads of the kids in & scare the hell out of Mourinho with our selection.

What we got to lose(apart from the match)?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Presume that was a joke but if not we need to fight for every point in our situation. We have beaten Chelsea and drawn with Man City already this season so why write off the Man U game? They lost to Newcastle the other week.

Kelly and Schlupp available for this one, no news from Roy on Sakho in his conference but hoping to announce Cavalieri soon so would expect him to be in the squad. No mention of Tomkins so assuming he is fine after the Spurs game.

No mention of Cabaye either. Does that mean he is still injured or fit?

Yes and we played a good Spurs side close twice so we have at least a chance.

Bonkers to drop Benteke. I know he is not playing well but we have little enough upfront as it.

Sorry mate, but your off your head thinking that Benteke shouldn't be dropped.
The man has proved by scoring 2 goals all season that he's not going to contribute to win any matches we've had or any coming up.
If they was cover he would have been dropped way before now,the man does not deserve a place in the team roys only playing him to make the numbers up.Sorloth and Wilf, when fit, upfront and finally drop Benteke.and quick before its to late.

Anyone else think lumeka and lokilo should be starting on the wing, will give us pace and natural width.

There have been suggestions that Benteke could be left out with Sorloth up front and Schlupp on the left
I doubt that Hodgson will leave Benteke out because Man Utd a very tall side and dangerous from set pieces.
Tompkins is the only player other player who defends in the air from set pieces so it would be a gamble to leave out Benteke unless Sorloth is also decent in the air.

Apologies for using the word "bonkers" in my previous post but I still disagree about dropping Benteke. The key phrase above is "If there was cover". If Wickham was fit I would definitely put Benteke on the bench but he is not. Sorloth looks promising but I would still go for Benteke. We know he can do the business but he lacks confidence at the moment. I don't see how dropping him will help with that.

Looks like Tomkins is back and Kelly and Schlupp might be.
Cabaye, Wilf and Ward back next weekend if the physio room website is correct.
Mamadou Sakho now has no return date at all!
The remainder are history now.
March 10th v Chelsea might see a near full strength team out!

I think it's the wafer thin pool of fit players we ahve to pick from,as you say, we did well against Chelsea and Man City. I went to the City and Arsenal games over Xmas and one performance was as good as the other was poor

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Lokilo def, inject some pace; Sorloth instead of benteke. Might actually see some decent goalmouth action from us then.
