I hope Roy stays for another year because I have no confidence that Parish & Co have a plan for who would succeed him. With another year you'd at least hope the penny may have dropped that we need to plan for our next managerial beyond Roy

Sincerely hope he stays to steady the ship as we need his unequalled experience to get us out of the Championship at the first attempt.
With our hopeless, chaotic last transfer window which speaks for itself, little doubt that is where we will be playing our football next season, given our long list of unfortunate injuries and no adequate cover.

Other than his error with Frank all the Managerial appointments have been excellent.
Sacks Frank employs Roy within hours.

Why should he leave? You think anyone is queeing up for a 70+ year old manager?

I'm sure that West Brom would take him like a shot

Sadly I think he will be off at the end of the season. If so it will sadly be another experienced manager that feels he has done as much as he can.

Parish has let the gentleman Roy down badly. The signings made in January I am sure have been made with the Championship in mind. What we needed was players that could help the team straight away and as for not signing a goalkeeper! You could not make it up.

As much as I admire what Parish has done for the club he just does not seem to see that some of his decisions this season have been shocking.

I can't work out if theres been any consideration to
possible relegation, or overly wary Of relegation and the dangers that Overspending brings.

On one hand, he's trying to avoid falling back to financial ruin, on the Other hand you need to speculate to accumulate. Problem is football it's easy to throw money in the wrong place and waste it.

Sp is not a football man as such - but his job is to come to the right decision on football matters. He cannot do this on his own, so he needs to surround himself with the correct people to give him the correct advice. So where he might not actually be the problem, ultimately it's his failure if this system is not working.

The Idea that DF has brought in 2 players that RH does not want is crazy - this should never happen.

Shame SP appears to take control of transfer dealings, an area where he clearly needs some experienced assistance. For example,
desperately needed a new gk and signed the Spaniard on a pre contract deal to join us in July, provided we are not relegated!!!

If taking control of transfer dealings means signing the cheques yes he does that.
Guaita’s team did not want to sell him.Confirmed by Roy.
The relegation bit might/might not be true.
All the managers we have had he has supported (within budgets).

I hope Roy stays but I suspect whatever division we are in he will walk away. He has proved he is still a good manager after England and at 71 he doesn't need another year of struggle. I think January transfer window will prove the point when he decided. If we are in the Championship I think Dougie will be our manager.

Will it put Dougie off? Or will he have his side in his mind while looking at cheaper targets?

You don't really believe that? Spurs were very poor but apart from some stalwart defending we were hardly ever in it. No forward momentum whatsoever.
