We all knew this run of games was coming and it would drag us back into the mire. The last 8 run in is what will make or break us. No one knows what's going to happen.

Jesus Christ, Parish is now out too. We must be the first club in the history of clubs to have an injured chairman. And to make matters worse, we never bothered getting cover for him in the January window. Talk about lack of planning.

This is absolutely bloody ridiculous!

The Southampton late equaliser is a pain in the arse because it means we COULD be in the relegation zone should we get a tonking from Spurs. However, due to Brighton giving Swansea a kicking, we need to lose by a fair few goals for that to happen.

I have said this for a while: I would have bitten your hand off for the position we are in now at the start of the season. We have a solid chance of staying up. A point v Spurs would be absolutely magnificent, a narrow loss wouldn’t be disastrous.

As for Parish: this debate is boring and pointless, the two sides will never agree.

I agree the signings have not been what we've expected. But not all of it was Parish's fault. We had couple near over the line but the other clubs were the ones keeping us from getting them. I hope we come strong in the summer, let us survive this season and stop witch hunting everyone. We are stronger together.

SP has had a lot of luck over the last 5 - 7 years such as not keeping Doug and scraping through the play-offs, losing Olly and Warnock in quick succession. Staying up (just) with Pulis, Pardew and Allardyce (and then losing them suddenly). Appointing FdB, giving him very little time to acclimatise to the Premier or to select players for the squad, then the ying happens again with the appointment of Roy. Of course the bigger luck was buying the club on the cheap after SJ went broke buying the ground back (of course Alexander had nothing to do with this) and then waiting until the last seconds before buying the club.
Since the promotion we have had good luck with some buys and bad with others but not buying the additional striker when we had 3 windows (?) and similarly with the keeper (forgetting Mandanda), will the luck go bad again tomorrow if Wayne injures himself in the warm-up and we could have signed Cavalieri (2 weeks allegedly).
The icing on the cake for the out group is Not taking on a D of F for 4 seasons up top and signing expensive players when a DoF Might have bought more and cheaper squad players instead of betting on non-league players and top of the range ones (like buying only at Fortnum and Mason AND Morrisons).
I would much rather have a Palace nut as chairman than a loadsamoney one I just wish he was less of a nut.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

With respect I don't "Buy" the argument that there is an acceptance we won't pick up many (If any) points in our forthcoming games but 'Hey Presto' at the flick of a switch we will then carve out a sequence of results in our so called 'Winnable' games amidst a favourable set of fixtures.

Momentum is very important in football and we will be going in the opposite direction. We shall probably be in the bottom three and the pyschological effect of a bad set of results and a plummet into the relegation zone cannot be overlooked.Besides all these players who have been injured need games to get 'Match fit' and there won't be many games left.Dire situation.

Current form has us in 8th in the league. So based on form you shouldn't be worried...

Dropping in to the relagation zone doesn't mean much right now when the whole of the bottom half of the league is so tight together.

Is it good no, but does it mean we're doomed to be relegated. Of course not...

Key players are close to returning and as you said there's no reason why we can't cause an upset during one of these upcoming tough fixtures.

As a child of Selhurst, I was never sure what my parish was

I sometimes went to St Chads, in South Norwood (quite near the Palace ground)

Sometimes I went the other way and went to St Marys in West Croydon

Sometimes it was St Andrews in Thornton Heath, where there was the added thrill of spotting Gerry Queen, Palace's number 9, who was a regular church goer.

(I wonder how many of the current Palace team live in Selhurst, Thornton Heath or South Norwood)

If you're asking me if Mr Parish the chairman should go, I'd say no, because I can't think of a single person who would do a better job.

Except God perhaps. But God hasn't answered any of my prayers recently. In fact, not for a long time, god damnit. So he (or she, it could be a she these days, don't forget) can stick his scriptures up his aspidistra, for all eternity.

These threads usually appear after a defeat.

I still haven't worked out, why people think Parish going will change the results. Generally most other team supporters call for the manager to go, as they are directly involved with the team.
Our supporters seem to think the club is run by one man alone and is responsible for everything from injuries to the state of the toilets in the Arthur.

I expect more threads tomorrow afternoon, with no viable alternative suggestions.

Parish is responsible for signing players. In this regard he has failed miserably to address glaring issues in more recent transfer windows than I can be bothered to mention.

I dont call for Parish out, maybe just off to the side a bit and let someone who actually knows remotely what they are doing run transfer and managers at this club.

Dont all you Parish apologists get bored of constantly acting outraged when a fan of this club dares to suggest that someone else could do better than Steve's p#ss poor performance of late on transfers and managers?

"Go and support someone else then". Its laughable. No one is allowed to want Parish gone lest they be asked to give up on their love, commitment and support of this fantastic and unique club which in many of us started on the day we were born.

We are one of 14 teams endeavouring to stay in this league.
Third goaly short at the moment.
12 injuries suggest we are fairly strong in depth, to put 11 out tomorrow plus up to 7 subs.
I’m sure the Top 6 would struggle with a dozen first teamers abscent.

Top 6 clubs wouldn't be caught with zero fit strikers or 1 fit goalie, Alan.

Therein lies the difference between Parish and chairmen/people running transfers at top 6 clubs, amongst other things:

They dont let their teams go out and try to win points in the premier league with no strikers or 1 goalie.
