I want a starting role for Chung-Yong - most underrated player at the club.

He’s desperate to impress to boost his World Cup prospects.

Really versatile and creative player. His time has surely come.

Go, Chungy, go!

It's very simple in my mind

Hennessey
Fosu mensah. Tomkins. Sakho. Pva
Milivojevic. Reidewald.
Townsend. Cabaye. Mcarthur
Benteke

Subs: Henry, souare, ward, rakip, lee, lumeka/kirby, sorloth

Could even bring in Michael Phillips. Solid central player.

Yes we're low on numbers.
No I can't bring myself to put Delaney on the bench.
We're Palace... we've got this!

I've been thinking some more about it and I'm strongly of the view we should put Souare on the left wing while Wilf is out.

As well as getting deliveries from him that I think would better suit Benteke, and his defensive support, putting him on the wing seems a good way to get him fully fit.

We can probably carry him more as a winger than a left back and get him fit enough to cover at LB. At the moment, we would be in a big bind if we lost PVA. Give Souare 3/4 matches in the wing and he'll probably be ready.

I wonder if he still has his pace. If not then no way can he play there. Not sure of his history either, has anyone got any details of where he has played in his career other than LB?

I would go with Souare at Left Back with PVA on the left wing giving not only cover in defense but a good outlet for attack , we are not replacing Wilf as a striker as it is a awful position for him and I don't know why Roy thinks it is good , he has his back to the goal which he doesn't like and he gets hoofed from behind like he did against West Ham ....He is a winger and that is the position that needs filling , stick PVA on the left and get him to pop crosses in to the front two .

I don't think Roy rates Souare. I can see him putting Ward at LB and PVA on the wing.

WH
TFM JT MS JW
LM YC
AT JM PVA
CB

Playing a 451 in defence and pushing either JM or YC forward when attacking.

I think he does. He wouldn't have named a player who's been missing for 2 years on the bench every matchday otherwise.

If Roy goes down the Pardew route with Ward/ Kelly on the left, I'm loosing all faith.

He would if he had no other options. (cue a mega list of "other" options, with accompanying stats!)

Ok, let me be more precise. If he had in mind Ward for the left back position, he wouldn't have named both Ward (or TFM, depending on who was starting and who was back-up) and Souare on the bench on the same time. Seems like a waste of space to have someone there who you wouldn't send in no matter what. He'd have named....Mutch or someone
