If this is true we are doomed. The only plus is that I doubt we would get much from the next 5 games anyway but this is why we needed to buy quality in January and why our chairman might have finally run out of luck. Kerplunk is a game of luck.

Is there any other team who has the same long term injury list as ours? Too much/little training? Poor back room staff or just plain bad luck? Given that Puncheon, Dann, Wickham, RLC, Schlupp, Zaha, and Sako are all tackle related injuries I doubt this is because of the medical staff or training.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

Take your pick from these then. Hennessey As above with Lee instead of Sørloth Hennessey As above with McArthur left mid and van Aanholt wing Am I glad you aren't picking the team with those lineups! Sorry but a big target man on left wing, a left back at centre mid and a centr mid on the wing. Why oh Why? Even with wilf out things aren't that dire surely?

The most concerning thing for me is that we are supposed to be an established Premiership club and are currently in our 5th season in the Premier League. Yet our team relys on one player and when he doesn't play we really aren't very good (as was evidenced at the beginning of the season) We have absolutely no strength in depth which is just shocking. If we go down the blame lies squarely at the feet of Parish.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Even with wilf out things aren't that dire surely? Why do you assume that. Just because someone names 11 players doesn't mean they are going to play in exactly that position. I think you would find that Sorloth and Benteke would play in a traditional 2 up front with Andros providing width.

Guardian reckons ‘at least 4 weeks’ and phrase ‘significant period’. If only 4 weeks, that might not be so bad, it’s the ‘at least’ I find unnerving. Agreed, a month wouldn't be too bad, only 3 matches missed. If it's an injury that's been festering, it'd explain why he's been off the boil recently, though he looked pretty decent in the 2nd half yesterday. To lose him and sako is particularly galling, as sako would've been pretty decent cover in his current form. As it stands I think we're going to be seeing rakip a bit sooner, or possibly both Benteke and sorloth up top in that case.

Wilf now out its turning into a season of disasters, the only one good thing is we have RH in charge to steer the ship to safety.
