I think we will try for Babacar and Guaita tomorrow. And I think we'll succeed.

Agreed Laddo.
And to think a win tonight leaves us needing 12 more points for a sixth season.

Allow me to get a bit Holloway...

You wsnt to make a really impressive meal. You know that the ingredients will cost a bit but it's a really special meal. Problem is you have an idea about what you want but no idea where to buy it as you haven't done any research.

So you leave it and hope that by magic you will find the right ingredients.

But then the big day comes. You realise this is it time is running out so you run to the sipeemarket and start grabbing anything with a yellow label hoping praying you can turn it into that impressive meal.

You get to the till halfway through buying your basement bargains the shop shuts so you are left with half a crap meal.

I am guessing Dougie is shopping tomorrow.

It's a funny season though - no one cut off.

I haven’t really posted on the transfer window situation until now. I cannot believe it has gone to the deadline to get a striker. Completely ridiculous. Madness. Stupid. We surely cannot miss our again can we?

Logic would say we have about 5 targets lined up and on day 1 of the window opening go in with a big bid and secure our man. In our desperate position I don’t care if we pay 20% over the odds. We need to dig ourselves out of this mess.

Bollocks to there being a chain effect. Why don’t we start it and let everyone else worry for once.

Rumours that we have bid for the Japanese goalie, No Sho and Dutch striker, Didley Squat.

Ok Dougie you have had 5 months to sniff our a striker and a GK,...both of which were identified as our main priority some 9 months back. Tomorrow we find if you are worth what your paid.

But it’s not just 12 points is it, you don’t reach 40 and are magically safe, we need more points than the 3 relegated teams, if they get 41 then 40 isn’t enough, 40 points is a market, not automatic safety.

Traditionally 40 is enough.
But you are correct.

I agree completely but lack any real hope.

I'm surely more ignorant of goings on re:transfer dealings then I would have naturally assumed, otherwise this is a far worse or more distasteful joke then first thought, complete insanity!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Damn, how could we have missed out on Giroud and to Chelsea, what have they ever done.

And as for Sturridge, we should have got him in, sod the loan rules, we could have got him in without telling anyone he is on loan. The Board have dropped the ball there. Let's hope we get the bid for Lukaku right, or we're down.

Idiot. I didn't say they were meant for us. But I'd take 1 x Giroud for Benteke, let alone x 2.

Regarding the title of this thread - we have a keeper who was terrific and was only defeated by a pen; striker who scored what really should have been the winning goal in a tough away game.
