W.B.A. asks for 15M. Not worth it!
Better search anywhere else with those 15M...

Think he’ll be 29 in November. Not worth £15M IMO

Even by today's standards as to exorbitant 'spiralling-out-control' transfer dealings?

Was thinking more about Zaha and Townsend, could and should have been in England squad if not for blind indifference from current and past England managers. Just like taxis not going South of the river.

Sorry, but I'm getting fed up with this viewpoint.
At time Zaha was not good enough to get into the England side. He won a couple Of friendly caps - didn't pull up any trees.
Yes, he had a dumpload of potential, but so do many players. You only get tied to a country when you play competitive games, so whats a manager supposed to do - Play a load of young players who aren't good enough (yet) in competitive games purely to tie them into only Playing for this country?! Notwithstanding The Fact That this will weaken the side, making winning those games harder thus putting More stress on a manager, it is also unfair on the players that won't make the grade in the future - As you've just taken away their chance of playing international football with another side. It's Tantamount to Chelsea/ManC Stockpiling all the young PL Talent, stopping them going To smaller clubs.
It's also seems unfair on the player they are replacing - who has earned their place in the team.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Zaha now has the ability to get into the England squad (though this is one of The weaker squads of recent times, I'm not sure if he'd get into the squad of 10 years ago..). Someone made the decision not to play him in Competitive fixtures at the time, he then had the chance to play for another country (which he also feels a great Affinity with) and he chose them. Move on.

Rant end.

Yep! Not worth it...
Let me put it this way around 15M. here some examples of players much more interestings:
- Badou Ndiaye 27y (Stoke)
- Rúben Neves 21y (Wolves)
- Diadie Samassékou 22y (Red Bull Salzburg)

Wolves would certainly not sell Ruben Neves.

Ndiaye cost Stoke £14 Mill from Galatasaray and he is a combative midfielder.I think he gave up his Law studies to concentrate on football.

You're right Willo!
Only if Wolves went mad they will sell Rúben. He's outstanding and shows that many premier league scouts were totally sleaping.
Ndiaye I guess if Palace want it could happen.
Diadie from Salzburg it will shine... Like Kanté did!

Became the youngest captain in Champions League history when he led FC Porto against Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2015 aged 18.

Good shot from distance, scores spectacular goals and can score from 25yd free kicks.I am led to believe that he is a grounded lad with no ego.If my memory serves me well he was signed for some £16 Mill from FC Porto.

Understanding is we want to buy him not swap him, would imagine we’d have both players.

Although must admit I thought he was younger. So at that age he’s not got much more progression / resale value in him.

Would be keener if he was younger..

Although if it’s Roy’s choice then I’d be totally backing him.

Prem experience not breaking the bank and will give cover / options in central midfield without being an unknown Prem risk.
