Eder is being pursued to bring out the best in Benteke. He is potentially the missing piece of our attack puzzle. Fingers crossed. Batshuayi - if he can't succeed at Chelsea where he is stuffed with supply, what chance success at a club where he will be feeding off scraps? Those who genuinely think he is a step up from Benteke are misguided. So lets say we had Batshuayi in our side instead of Benteke and he had been the one who had all the goal opportunities that Benteke has had this season. Would you be more or less confident in them being scored? The thing is we HAVE created chances. Benteke has fluffed 99% of them. Edited by MonsterMunch (25 Jan 2018 12.51pm)

Edited by MonsterMunch (25 Jan 2018 12.51pm) Batshuayi would not have been in the right positon to fluff the chances. That's the difference. Benteke can come good; Batshuayi can't.

What makes you think that Benteke can come good?....is it the same 'hope' that Rogers and Klopp and Pardew had because if it is we could be a few more years down the line in seeing the return of his Aston Villa form which Liverpool based their buying decision on and us. Love it to happen but he is showing only a trickle of what is required and that starts with sleeves rolled up and hard work. It would not surprise me at all if he was sold in this window but of course that is dependant upon incoming strikers.

Could simply be Wrong place wrong time for him. I mean I couldnt care less as he’s not a Palace Player but an odd statement. Also would say both players movement and positional sense is pretty similar.

If he is crap at Chelsea he is hardly going to be a success here. People have short memories about Christian. He is out of form, but we have a striker that’s hit 17 goals a season while in the PL, AJ was the last person to do that. Edited by coulsdoneagle (25 Jan 2018 6.08pm)

I genuinely think eder is the answer to unlock his potential

Totally agree Coulsdon, this poster is seriously getting on my t*** with his nonsense stats. What makes it worse he thinks he knows better than those that go to the games week in week out.

I would say Batshauyi is the more natural goal scorer, if there is such a thing. Both low on confidence but obviously decent players. Both probably don’t want to be here/there.
