Yes. Tough act to follow in fairness to him.

If we're going back that far how can Tommy Langley not be on the list? Absolutely useless!

Ha! We're only supposed to go back the last few years, otherwise I would have nominated that completely useless ********* Mike Flanagan. What a waste of space.

Watched him score a hatrick for us against Southampton once though so couldn't have been that bad

Mick Hill, recall on his debut he ran out with a ball, ran towards the Holmesdale & smashed the ball from the edge of the box straight into a kids face, missing the goal & busting his nose!!

Blimey you've got a good memory! I remember seeing a guy with a T shirt that said "I saw Flanagan score" - wasn't you was it?!

Anyway, his wiki entry states that "In summer 1979 he joined Crystal Palace for £650,000 where he played 56 games scoring 8 goals.". That's not a good return, but maybe better than some others that have been mentioned, in fairness... mind you, if you discount the hattrick you mentioned that gives him 5 goals in 55 games as a striker...

I couldn't find any video of him playing for Palace, but this gives you a flavour of just how bad Akinbiyi was...

Enjoy. Not.

He had been useless at Leicester, lost all confidence and Francis purchased him.
Split up the Morrison/Freedman partnership and was useless for us.
Drove a blooming great big Merc with blacked out windows.
Still Francis redeemed himself getting Andrew (AJ) as a makeweight for Clinton.
